A very simple and pain-free way to quickly bleed your Ford Ranger’s hydraulic clutch system.
The hydraulics in the clutch system in these compact trucks is notorious for getting air inside, leading to a premature failure. In this video, I show a simple and efficient way to bleed the clutch system.

I’ve been watching a lot of videos about bleeding a clutch slave cylinder. I’ve tried a few with no luck. This is by far the easiest method. Pumping the clutch 200-500 times is not as bad as you think. Thanks for the vid!

Don't do it this way... There is a steel line on the master cylinder with a bend in it. You can not bleed this truck traditionally, it needs to be pressurized, or pre filled before installing... Unfortunately there is only one video I found about bleeding it correctly.

@@PureChivalry what video would that be? I’ve been trying to bleed the clutch line on an ‘03 Mazda b3000 (same as v6 ranger) for a while now. I’ve bench bled the line from the reservoir to the slave and didn’t get any bubbles (I had also bled it prior to bench bleeding using other methods which must’ve worked because I found no bubbles). I’m still having trouble shifting, I’m going to try and bleed it a few more times at the slave to see if there is air in there. I’m dreading having to change the slave and clutch

@@PureChivalry kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b5d5jLyQvquygqs.html this is the way I did it, the video is from the same guys as the one you showed but I think he says somewhere in the video that you do it this way if the pushrod is already on the pump. Pretty much the same way as the way shown in the video you mentioned. I bled it there and at the slave, got all the bubbles out but I found out the problem wasn’t the slave or air in the system, the slave was moving about a half to three quarters of an inch when the pedal was depressed. Ugh, now I get to have fun with my clutch next weekend

Hey, Love this video. You are very articulate. Nice listening to you speak. Just replaced my Master Clutch on my 96 Ranger for the 2nd time. When I bought the truck used a couple of years ago the Master to Slave hydraulic hose kept popping off. I fixed that with a better matched Master Connector and hose. My clutch was hard to shift. A friend noticed the slack in the shifter. I replaced the bushings and tightened that up and at the same time realized I had somehow managed to install the Master Cylinder with the spring washer on the wrong side of the housing where it fits through the firewall to the housing holding it. I broke that switch trying to rectify the problem and so the need for another Master. I bench bled it, but now no clutch. I'll try this in the morning after a frustrating day. Thanks.

Make a 3 to 5 minute video on every step, how to find and fill the washer fluid... etc. I think your great. Good luck

👎👎👎 gotta skip through 90% of the video to figure out how to bleed the bloody clutch. We don't care about when the model was made, what was changed in the next body style, or about the timing belt of were here to find an "easy way to bleed the clutch on a Ford ranger." Come on man.
