In this video tutorial I show you how to apply your blusher for an instant, anti-aging lift. This quick blusher application tip is simple and fabulous for women over 50. It will give your mature face a wonderful lift and prevent blusher from making your cheeks look hollow or dragging your face down. I’ll also show you the no fail ‘two finger’ blusher rule you need to know.

The only exception to this is if you're doing a natural-flushed-look makeup (popular at the moment) in which case the colour choice is very important to avoid a 'clown' effect. 🤡 You may also enjoy my Instant Eye Lift Trick Video too. I’m so happy I found your channel and the timing couldn’t be better. My husband and I are attending a formal event in 4 days, so I’m binge watching your videos and practicing like it’s the first time I’ve ever applied makeup, THANK YOU! I’ve struggled for almost a decade to find my “new” and correct locations for the overall application of makeup for my age. You explain and display in such simple techniques that it’s easy to get it right in no time. I no longer have to flounder, remove, flounder some more and, well, you get the picture. Thank you for your informative knowledge on correcting how too blusher application. I dont wear alot of makeup put I love blusher for a pop of colour like you said going south not for me going through menopause uou just have to find what works for you. Natural makeup look would be great for a video as I used to do full makeup but now my lifestyle has changed so I do a minimal look. Your makeup is on point. Take Care. Hi. Thats a great point. Essentially for this technique don't bring the blusher right onto the apples of cheeks, these tend to drop as we age, and keep the placement correct on the cheek bone. Good luck. Let me know how you get on. Sheena 💕

Hi there. The blusher is by Laura Mercier in Colour: Peach. This is great if you have a warm skin tone. The brush is an old Lancôme one but I can suggest Zoeva brushes ...I have a few of these and really like them.

Hi Brooke The brush I use is so old. Oddly, specific blusher brushes are hard to get. The link below takes you to my favourite brush list. I would recommend the Huda brush. The two finger rule doesn't work for people with larger hands!! But blusher no further in than your pupils is another good rule!!!

The light should be even the right side of your face already has a little smaller eyes and a smaller cheek than the left side. Both sides are gorgeous, but the light exaggerates a lot.

Honestly I don't have cheek filler. They are all mine. It's just lucky. I suspect the plumpness originally lived higher on my face and now its drooped to create plump apples. Who knows but they are not filled.

Yes absolutely Annie. Botox can be useful to smooth the skin by treating wrinkles. I've worn sunscreen for years so fortunately don't need much very often.
