Good contrast and I agree ! When blush occupies most the cheek it can drag down a face and look unnatural (just like dark lower lash liner). Color sitting atop the cheek, sweeping lateral mimics how the sun hits our face. And you’re on point with color. Hues will liven a complexion, but if we can keep midline free of color hues- from forehead to chin (not counting lips) a face will look fresher and more youthful.

Nice video. It’s amazing how unflattering the cool blusher was and the placement was all wrong. I have learned the best placement for me.

2 easy ways : hold silver material up close to your face and compare with gold. Hold stark white up close to your face compared with off white. You will favor one ! I made the mistake like Sally I'm warm toned think peaches and cream not rosy red hope this helps Doreen Eischen Indiana USA

Your correct blush looks perfect on you for sure, Sally. Question: I’m cool-toned and have both a pink powder blush and a pink cream blush. Either looks fine at first, but within an hour or two they seem to take on a peach cast. My skin is normal to dry. Does this happen to other people? Can you recommend a product that would help stabilize the color? Thanks!

Hi Ann, the cream to powder blush that Sally uses in her tutorial is perfect for combating this issue! The beauty is that it's easy and malleable to apply like a cream, but sets into a powder formula so you won't lose that top layer of pigment and end up with just the peach undertone you describe here.
