Great Job. unistrut sell a spring loaded nut that slide up inside the rail ,and stay where you put them . mite make your job a bit easier and nothing protruding below the strut. Like this build series thanks Kookz

You know we tried to use the sping nut but the spring nuts didn't have nylons and didn't seem as strong as the nylock bolts with a washer and a strong positive connection. I returned the spring nuts I figured you can't really see the bolts hanging down from the ground so it looks very clean still. Thanks we got more coming!

Very nicely done indeed. if that bedliner starts to peel off, use some sandpaper or steel wool or something to rough the unistrut up a tad before painting. Also, if you find the metal on metal brackets loosening up or making noise, use some of that foam tape or neoprene between the brackets and struts, etc. to get a nice tight and noise free connection! Good thinking on the rubber stoppers. Thinking outside the box! :)

Yeah, he should’ve used a Brillo pad to rough up the unistrut surface so that the bed liner or paint adheres to it.

Thanks Pete! Dude when we learned about the step bit a few years ago we use it all the time now. You can get them cheap at Harbor Frieght and they are pretty nice just get the Hercules brand line. We got them in the unistrut area in Home Depot they are like individually wrapped in bags I think they come in like a 5/6 pack

A small dremmel would work better at making the bolt hole larger, rather than the file and drill. One slip with the drill and the file would travel across the roof of the van!

True. I do have a dremmel but just reacted and made it happen. Luckily no shitty van paint jobs were hurt during the making of this film.
