How to make a simple pipe-based setup to create a fog screen.
For this you will need some pipe, (I use 1.5" pipe and a few elbows, an end cap, a coupler), a fog machine, a way to chill the fog, and a projector with something to project.

I subscribed within 30 seconds. I've seem a lot of attempts at these screens, generally in three groups - ultrasonic water, hot fog, and chilled fog. Professionals seem to use chilled fog, and you're the first (only?) video to nail it.

Thank you! The idea is to have this blocking the path of the cart.... A ghost flies toward the guests timed with a blast of air just as they are about to pass through the screen. But sadly, I will not have any indoor portions this year due to covid concerns. That's why I'm looking forward to your build!!!

I'll have to try this tomorrow. Thank you for not being one of those trade secret hoarders. We were going to get something like this from TransWorld one year but they wanted thousands of dollars for what should be simple engineering. We tried pipes and had a condensation issue with ground foggers, A2 and A4 from Froggy's Fog, but I might try to bring back the manual chillers we had years ago with one of our smaller foggers like the one you have in the video. Thanks again for your work and teaching, best of luck!

And besides, I learned so much from other haunters through old web pages like "the monster list of halloween projects" that I figured this was a way to pay it back to those that I learned from and maybe inspire new prop makes to continue to create and share. Because it is drawing air into the chiller, trading volume for density. In his case the additional volume allows more water vapor to be forced out of the chiller, making it appear to create more fog. Without the water tank and ultrasonic, you just get a similar effect as blowing the fog through a small fan. Bigger cloud that is easier to see through.
