does everyone know that they put the label on upside down on cranberry sauce so that you store it upside down to help it slide out easier when you open it.

On the custard try doubling the eggs and adding two yolks, and trivit or a couple carrots under the dish to “float it” above the heating element. I’d also not cook on high, but keep on the low and slow.

My 3 year old watched this video with me and begged and begged to make the meatball slider recipe. He even cried when I said we had to wait until supper time to eat them. We skipped on the pepper flakes but the recipe was a major hit with the family. The recipe is 3 year old approved!

If you use a trivit under your dish it will stabilise it and keep the water out. The steam circulates better cooking more evenly

I was going to suggest something similar (if you DON'T have a trivet) - ball up some aluminum foil, maybe 4 to 5 pieces, then add your water, and finally, put the dish into the crockpot on top of the balls

If you have a turkey lifter you can lift the hot casserole dish, just make sure it fits. Another option would be individual ramekins and use a canning jar lifter. ps put a towel over top and tie to lid to prevent water from condensing and pooling in your custard.

I do this recipe with pumpkin all the time. It's the egg ratio. I use four eggs. That's typically enough to bind it. I hope you try the recipe again. Just bump up the egg ratio ❤️ I also put it directly in the crock pot. And I do not put foil. I lay a couple pieces of paper towel underneath the lid to catch the water. Because the crock pot works like an oven. Just my two cents I hope it helps

The meatball recipe made me think of a recipe I use often for potlucks or family gatherings. You take one can of whole berry cranberry sauce, although I suppose you could use the jelly kind. Drain and rinse one can of sauerkraut, and snippet into a few pieces, mix that together with some brown sugar, I forget the measurement on that I think it's one cup. Mix that well then toss in a bag of frozen meatballs. I have also done this with cut up kielbasa, heat it up in the crock pot till the meatballs are done.. It is one of the first things that is gone at any family gathering or potluck dinner. Everyone wants the recipe. Another favorite Crock-Pot dinner, one that I created on my own, using either chicken thighs or breasts boneless, put that in the bottom of the crock pot add one can drained corn, one can rinse and drained black beans, and a jar of salsa. Heat till the chicken is done, I usually do it most of the day. I like that served on rice.

Great first attempt on the souffle. Needs more eggs for that much liquid. Usually it's 10 eggs for a quart of liquid ( pumpkin is not considered a liquid but it would be advised to use 1 Yoke for each cup of pumpkin) fingers crossed the next one works out. If you want it fluffy you can also whip the whites up first and fold them in.

Hi. New recent subscriber! So, I tried your 1st crockpot dish with the ham, green beans and potatoes. OMG....it was outstanding! Seriously outstanding. I have made a lot of crockpot dishes, but never had a dish that was so simple yet so satisfying, with only 3 ingredients, be so darn good! I tweaked the recipe some...because that's just what I always do. I highly suggest adding onions. So this is what I did: Instead of olive oil I used coconut oil, half of a white onion, onion salt from Trader Joe's, fresh garlic, garlic powder, coconut aminos from Trader Joe's which gave it hints of sweetness yum, long horn seasoning and I tossed the potatoes in a little garlic Parmesan sauce before putting in crockpot. It was so good. Oh...and I used reduced fat fiesta blend cheese on mine. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe. It is so cost efficient.

Hi Christine. You should try to get some of the moisture out of the pumpkin before you throw it in the crockpot. I usually just spread it out on top of some paper towels and pat it. You'd be amazed at how much excess liquid is in the pumpkin.

I always mix the spices with the pumpkin and egg BEFORE adding the evaporated milk. The spices are much less likely to separate out and float on the top when mixed in first. Ask me how I found out about that one. And yes, another egg or two may have helped with the watery texture. I make crust-less pumpkin pie frequently because my daughter can’t eat the crust, besides it is less carbs that way.
