Tried your technique on my old DeWalt DWD110 drill. Worked like a charm. Disassembled the case and found that the rear bearing (two on the chuck) was the one that was not seated in its slot. Borrowed some heavy duty tin foil from the kitchen, and layered up about 5 plies and cut it into strips and placed it in each half of the bearing housing. After the buttoning up the case the wobble is absolutely gone! Rock solid. Even my worst offending bit, a counter sink bit spins for the first time absolutely straight. You are what Sylvester the cat would call a "stuper sheenish". Thanks for posting. Now I don't have to purchase a new drill. By the way, the case housing had tons of super clean grease still inside the case. I just reapplied it and I'm good to go. Thank you Jhon!

I had made a drill press with my drill and no matter what I did, I was not getting accurate holes. I was even contemplating buying another piece of the same model so that it would fit precisely on my drill press and I thought I would try to see if someone had fixed it and landed on your video. It has certainly reduced the side-to-side movement. Hopefully I will get accurate holes now. Thanks a lot!

I shattered one of my HSS bits while drilling throght metal and had a bad wobble... that’s why I searched this. But my drill is fairly new and under warranty... so I guess I need to contact the shop.! Thank you for the video.

In my case the 'bearing' is actually the mechanism with two little metal pins that locks the chuck when replacing the drill bit. It broke in four, hence the wobble and the chuck cannot lock anything - it spins in place. My drill is the keyless one.

Sir, my problem is the chuck has less grip when drilling, even though I replaced with new one & tightening it before drilling. In your opinion, what's is the problem?
