Awesome idea. If i can just add one tip, i would leave the shelf 1/2 inch deeper so i can scribe it so shelf can run to the contour of the wall.

I have to admit I was shocked at 2:53 when you started running your nice new PLYWOOD shelf over the jointer - then the planer! Felt pretty stupid when you sliced the piece of solid wood off to attach to the actual shelf :-) I love this project and think I will have to make some for my new place!

New sub & rang the bell. I like those, the thickness looks nice. I have the bought ones with the metal brackets & they sag, nothing round will stay on. I may build those.

What type of paint did you use... I have found that semi-gloss paint is nice to use for the cleaning process but things just stick to it.

Great project! A couple of thoughts. If you have not tried yet, automotive body filler (Bondo) works very well on wood for painted pieces. Second, was there room to drive the screws holding the shelves to the brackets in from the underside?

Have a new water based body filler from Ali industries that I am gonna try, would rather not have the intrusive smell if I can help it. There is room for screwing from the underside and that's a great idea but some filler and paint fixed the top up real well too!

Looks great. You might consider scribing the shelves to fit tight to the drywall which is never perfectly straight in any home.

You take a compass or a small block of wood and use it to trace the irregular shape of the wall onto the shelf. Then cut/sand away the shelf edge so you have a perfect fit to the wall.

How long did it take for the super decks to dry on your cabinets, mine isn't dry it been three days, I have them inside.

It takes a good deal longer then you would expect for a complete cure. Cant remember exactly and it will depend on the current temperature.

There is about 10 inches between top top of the shelves and the next shelf, same with the toilet.

Not so much that I turn it off while sanding but I find myself ALWAYS reaching to the left side for the switch....most other tools are on the left, at least mine. Thanks for watching!
