EASY Ground Goop scenery technique for your model railroad

Күн бұрынHello Model Railroaders! This video is a DIY tutorial on how to make your base layer of scenery using Ground Goop. I take three ingredients and turn them into a great looking base for your model railroad scenery. With this in place we can add ground foam, static grass bushes and trees! So come along with me as we make progress on my first section of the Chicago and Northwestern Marshline Subdivision. I hope you find value in this video and try to make "Marshline Mud" yourself as we continue making amazing models and creating lasting memories.

Yeah. I think all it is is paper mache. I'm sure you could shred up some newspapers and add plaster to get a similar result!

A bit late, but get a bale of cellulose insulation and a 25 pound bag of plaster of paris from the big box store. Mix up equal amounts of each. Should be enough for about 25 layouts.

How long does that weldbond glue take to dry?

is celluclay similar to hyrocal ???

I don't believe so. CelluClay has ground up paper or "cellulose" mixed in with it. Hydrocal is a plaster that is a very fine powder. Hydrocal is great for making rock castings for exposed rock scenes. Take care, Andy
