Thanks parker for reviewing D4S products, been looking for someone with more experience than me to show this so I can learn more about them and have a clear decision on what to pick.

I like how Alphardaudio makes some of their baskets with the mounting holes further away from the cutout hole. I have no clue why sub and speaker manufactures continue to put the holes 1/8in away from the edge of the cutout. The illogicalness of it irritates me to no end.

wish i would have seen these before i got my American Bass one it has a motor noise that i get on startup but goes away. i know you get what you pay for... but really impressed with my 2 Audio Pipe tcxx or whatever it is on my 5500 i do have a 6 farad cap with 0 all the way to the cap and dual 4's after and before doing the big 3 lights dim bad. gonna do big 3 when it gets warm out and see if it changes. may get me one of these here! gotta say i love the down 4 sound metallica logo.

What LOC you would recommend for keeping stock HU with dual amp one 4ch for mids highs and 1ch for subs

Parker, since I have no quick access to the radio. I can connect the Power,Ground and Remote from the Aftermarket amo correct?

On the 5 channel LOC are able to sum all the channels to 1 and 2? Or do you have to have high level ran to each channel?

Thanks for the review, man! I just ordered the HiLoc 5i. I have two amps, a four channel and a sub amp. Many stereos don't have all the RCA outputs, so this will solve that issue. I wish you could do a distortion test on these.

Anyone seen that 5 channel loc on an oscope. The 2 channel one seemed to have some distortion issues, at least the unit I saw. May not be the end of the world but the DD1's distortion light was going off at a very low volume. I have a smaller build on a test build I was going to throw a dsp on but that 5 channel loc is cheap enough to suit my needs for the time being.

Can you review some sundown u series subs? 15s or 12s, no ones really posted a good review of them

Where would i put a loc if my vehicle has a factory sub in the back. But the speakers are in the door and i dont wanna splice wires all the way from the door to the back of the suv. Would i still use a loc? Or something else

How would you set the gains on a LOC?

I had a spider come apart like that. 8 small vice grips gorilla glue. Factory defect and didn't come apart again.

Do not assume that turning up the gains on the LOC all the way up outputs 2 volts of clean signal! You could be outputting more or less voltage of distortion to your amp!

So exactly what is a "TRASH" LOC? It would be nice to see the difference considering they all seem to work without power going into them.

I really do like d4s alot . But For most newer car applications these would not be a good or recommend thing to use at all they do nothing to fix bass rolloff or many other factory head unit issues. There just missing to many features to actually be useful in newer cars

How many people out there are going to ruin their stereo equipment going by what he said All you were doing by hooking up the leads to an RCA is actually just putting RCAs on a high-powered lead The power ground and remote are there as a voltage step down so you don't blow up your stuff

Step 1: Return loc to store Step 2: buy a head unit with rca outputs

Check out Steve Meade review of line out converters. So many of these are garbage. D4S is a good product.

LOCs are useless with most new cars, because frequencies are divided. You are better off with an AudioControl LC6, it can sum the input channels and give you full frequency outputs.
