I took my HSk5 and i watch those easy mandarin/easy taiwanese episodes not to forget all my hard work.. Man those accents are funny.. Taiwanese say c instead of zh and s instead of shi, the hongkong guy is funny, you can hear the oohaaahaaaoooh cantonese speakers are so famous for..

It’s interesting because the way they phrased the question could actually be understood in two ways, especially when taken out of context: 1. What places in Taiwan do you like? 2. What do you like about Taiwan?

My girlfriend is from Beijing and I've been learning how to speak and read it for almost 2 years. The best thing about it is seeing people with Mandarin language tattoos that I guarantee don't say what they think they do. Most of them just say random things, like "horse bean" lol. Funniest one I've seen so far said "field rainbow ball"

Ben Lodge sí, pero almenos lo intenta, no sabemos cuanto tiempo lleva estudiando chino Mandarin, Muchos ni hablan bien español. Y otros dicen que entienden ingles pero no lo hablan. Es un gran mérito que lo haga me gustaría oir tu chino.

I traveled to Taiwan 3 years ago. Really love Taiwan....Maybe that reason after the trip, I started to learn Mandarin. I planed to back Taiwan this 2020 but damn Covid, I cant. But oneday I will. 我很喜欢🇹🇼，天气·很好·，有各种各样·的·菜，还·又便宜又好吃。我·一定·回来·台湾·。。。

+brainchild No, I'm American. But German is such a frustrating language. Mandarin is so straight forward, no conjugations, no cases (dem, der, dem, den etc) I've studied Mandarin for 3 years but I'm just beginning learning German

Yep, Mandarin is really straight forward. So much unncecessary crap that languages like German contain is just left out. Loving it (at least so far). I'm German btw :)

太好! 我真的很喜欢汉语。I'm Indonesian and I thought Mandarin was the hardest language in the world. I mean, you have to remember how to write all the words. yeah, but my grandmother came from China, so I'm not really frustated about it. Now I learn Russian and relized that Russian is harder than Chinese.

Taiwanese people don't pronounce Sh and Zh, when they say 我是 or 什么 is like wo si, senme. It's just funny because for a long time I was struggling with Zh sound so this is a little "easier" I like Taiwanese accent a lot of the sound 啊，ending with sentences, it's kind of like 儿 in Mainland accent, I don't know it's just cool to see differences， Taiwanese people look so warm and cool! A country which I would really like to visit

This is the southern Chinese accent.They don't pronounce from the back of their mouth like northern Chinese.i personally like more the southern accent than the northern.it sounds more cute while the northern Mandarin zh,ch,er,sh sounds a bit aggressive and difficult to pronounce

Yes it's right! To be honest I got used to pronounce Wo shi and shen me, I like both, they sound cool, I think it's because I got used to hear northern accent it's why because I prefer that accent, I took me like 2 months (or even more) to be able to pronounce Zh, ch, r and sh sounds. If I knew that Taiwanese accent was easier It could be better for me at that time hahahah. You study Chinese?

Yes I study Chinese. I never went to China or Taiwan but I met Chinese people from different regions so I can see the different accents and dialects

Northern Chinese speak too loud and sound aggressive. Southern Accents are much better to listen to and they tend to have better manners than northerners

At 0:55 she uses nali. To me reading the question it seems like "what place do you like in Taiwan?" I used to live in mainland China (Anhui province) and they used nali as where. Does it mean something different in Taiwan or how am I supposed to understand this sentence?

The man from Hong Kong is really good at speaking Mandarin, considering in Hong Kong, people speak Cantonese. I'm guessing someone taught him Mandarin perhaps?
