For traction alopecia what helps me is red light therapy every other day, high frequency comb every other day(when I don’t do the red light therapy). I also made a spray that has been working with filtered water, rosemary, fennel seeds and cloves…simmer for 20-25 mins, cool down and then transfer to your spray bottle. I also derma roll. You can also use minoxidil and hair supplements I saw a big difference. Plus you are Loc’d your hair will grow fast with all of these suggestions. Hope it helps.

Thank you for your feedback! I have heard great things about light therapy but have never tried it myself. I have alopecia areata so my spots come in circular dime or quarter like sizes sporadically around my head. I had one on the side of my head and also have one in the back.The one on the side of my head was closer to my hairline so whenever I did styles it was very noticeable. But since I have started my lock journey it has filled in a lot. I have not used any oils in my hair or scalp since I began my locs. That is mainly because I was trying to avoid buildup from oils but I also think in small doses it may not be bad. But I love a good spray! It seems like the spray you have been using has some great things in it as well! I love anything with rosemary. I know a lot of people use minoxidil for hair loss but my worry is of the balding spreading more if I stop taking it. I used to go to the dermatologist and get shots in my bald spot but they were very painful I did so for years and I decided I didn't want to continue the treatment. If it does get bad again, I may still consider minoxidil or going back for my injections. My locs have really made all the difference to me. Sorry I got so long-winded. I appreciate your comment it, was very helpful! Many people struggle with this issue silently, always great to share our experiences. 💜

@adnaloy90258 ай бұрын
Thank you sharing! Your locs look fabulous! The trim was probably for the best!! 😊 How do you keep the perimeter from unraveling when you mist? Mine unravels every time it gets wet! 😬 Even if I just mist it, I can watch them unravel in a magnefying mirror! ✌🏾💜

Hey nice to hear from you again thank you for watching. 💜 I just do not have any unraveling at this point in my loc journey But when I used toBreak the perimeter Before it got wet especially before I got in the shower to wash my hair. I think that this may help you as well. Eventually your locs will not unravel with the touch of moisture.

@@SocialSymone thanks. I remember you said that about braiding down the perimeter in a wash video (if I remember correctly). I will try that but I will be so happy when I am totally free to just mist. Now I skip some days and I only mist the ends. I love an aloe water with a little scent mist! ☺️

You are correct I did say that and it worked for me very well. And every time that we talk it seems to get better and better for you I'm happy that that is the case and that time will come where the mist won't affect it. Probably sooner than you think 😉 And are you saying that you put the spray mist over the aloe Vera? Asking because I think it has a musty scent personally but I love the benefits 😂
@adnaloy90258 ай бұрын
@@SocialSymone the spray I use has Aloe Vera in it. And a scent like aloe or rose oil that i put in. I was trying to make my own but I just broke down and bought some from a company last month. Lol sometimes I don't want to DIY everything. I found that I get an odd smell if I don't let my hair completely dry (no scent, not even the lavender or rose once its dry). So I only mist in the mornings and I will use a hood drier if it isn't dry before I go to bed.

Let me know ow if you want the name of the company. Some folks don't like it when you name companies on their channel and I want to respect everyone. 😬😄
