I loved seeing all the newbies in the garden as they readied herbs for drying. I don’t count Esther as new since she has been interested since I began watching and now surpasses many of your viewers. They are such precious girls! I like your herb dryer and laughed when you talked about putting them in the truck to dry. It’s not a bad idea and very creative. We put our honey in husbands truck to warm it up after sitting in the basement for awhile. That works too! 🍃🍀☘️🌿🍃🪴🪴🪴🪴❤!

Your mints look so nice and healthy. I can’t seem to grow it in my sandy loam soil. Seeing yours makes me want to try growing it again. Your family is beautiful and blessed ❤

I like those herb drying hangers. What I don’t like is that it’s still open to dust, just prevents bugs from getting on them. I would hang an old sheet or large square cut hole in center and sleeve the Velcro band through it, this tents fall out n air and allowed drying as it’s open from bottom and is breathable fabric ie cotton sheet or fabric. Even an old linen dress or skirt would work too. I really dislike personally dust on my herbs. Some people put them in paper bags. I use to make cones of paper bags or parchment and sleeve the banded herbs through the cone and hang them from the point of the cone.

All those lovely mints for hot or iced tea. I am trying Sage tea, as I heard it has cooling properties. I also like Holy Basil and a Nettle blend with rose pedals. The gardens look wonderful! So good to see your girls involved in the process. ~ Diane

A salad spinner is very helpful in removing most of the water from the herbs. That would definitely help speed up with the drying time. I love your videos!

Mint family (peppermint, spearmint, lemon balm, cat nip) , Nettle, Mullein, holy basil (all the basils really) oregano... The list is endless

Please pray for me & my kids. Someone burnt down our house & 2 vehicles then it caught on to our neighbors house, thankfully we had some footage on cameras & so did some others. Our dog didn’t make it. It’s been a little over 2 weeks but so hard to still believe & I pray all involved are caught soon!

I like the taste of dill flowers just before they open, I think its called buds, in my pan cakes or just eat it raw 😊

We have the same rack and I love it! I've had it for a few years and it works very well. I don't dry herbs with an electric dehydrator anyway because they are too fragile. The oils evaporate too much with the heat so both flavor and medicinal value is gone. I just filled mine with Nettle and also a layer of oregano. It feels good to be using it again.

I love herbs and tea!! Lots of great info & tips, thank you! I just learned about that wood scorching method a few months ago when i watched a KZfaqr doing while he built his own cabin... Very cool look and functional to seal the wood!

I've loved watching how your garden has grown and developed over the years Carrie :) It was so lovely to see the three girls happily helping with the herbs too. I also love to grow and dry herbs and normally either just hang them in bunches or put in the dehydrator. I've often wondered about those hanging mesh dryers, so it's good to see one in use in this video and to know they work well. Many blessings to your sweet family. Carrie , Thank you for sharing your knowledge of herbs and the drying process. I have a plant of Rosemary and an Italian Oregano. I might give the drying process a try ! I live in a humid climate so now that it’s beginning to get hot it will probably be best to dry the herbs inside our house. All your vegetables , herbs and flowers look so healthy! I love seeing your girls helping in the garden! Abby so sweet showing you the Salvia . I also have a few plants of Salvia . Love the color. My husband and son a few years ago built a table and also used the burning method. The coffee table looked so good with the design. Thanks for the idea of using Comfrey tea for pest in the garden ( you answered a question for me about pest ) . The apple & chocolate mint are intriguing for me to try .
