Loved this video! I've grown Genovese Basil, Holy (Thai) Basil, and Purple Basil before. I confess I didn't know what to do with the Holy Basil, but I want to get it again and use it now that I do know. Esther, you are growing into such a lovely young lady .

Lately she has been reading the Bible mostly, but when she has more time for reading through the winter, she enjoys flower and gardening books, early American life series' like Little House On The Prairie, and faith based stories from the days of knights and maidens. Blessings.❤

Its amazing how as we have moved away from an hunting/gathering/agrarian society, towards and industrial/techonolgical one, the family unit has disintegrated at the expense of society. Glad to see God fearing families that are close are still a thing here in the western world, even if it is a rarity.

I know this is not directly a comment on the video but how does you Zucchini survives in MO? I live in Columbia, MO and every year I loose zucchini plants to squash vine borer 😢 I don’t know what to do… would appreciate some help!

The best success we have had so far is by planting Early Prolific Yellow Straightness as early as possible with tin foil rapped around the base of the stem and Zucchino Rampicante which grows so long (up to 40 feet) that if you let it touch the ground here and there to root, it can outrun the borer worms. We also do our best to cut them out of the stems if we notice them. Winter squash seems to do better planted late June/early July when the vine borers are not as abundant. Hope you find a way to grow squash where you live.🙂 Blessings to you.❤

@@1000sofroots thank you. Yes, I did lots of surgeries :) cutting the borers out last year and saved few that way. Will try to plant some more in July this year. I really like gray Palermo zucchini. I may try the variety you mentioned next year! God bless!
