Wauw. It looks so luxurious! Made out of a brown bag! So inspiring. And also, how clever to fold some illustrated pages not in the middle but else where. Would have never come up with that. Can't wait to make my own! ❤

Great video! I am all for recycling, and I'm glad you use cereal boxes and other things, including this Woolies bag. I'm sure it could be used after going shopping with it! I like how you explain the binding in detail, and it's a very good step by step tutorial. I couldn't hear the birds, but I love birds and so birds would actually add to the goodness of the video. 🌸💖

I absolutely love this tutorial! The great thing about it is the bag used can also be sentimental, I saved this paper book bag from my favorite book shop (with an interesting design on it) and didn’t have the heart to just throw away such a cool and useful bag so now I get to repurpose it into a journal! This is a very cool journal, and an easy one to put together. I have lots of older scrapbook papers that would work great in an album like this. Thank you so much for sharing this awesome video and technique. Now I just need to get a brown paper bag. LOL!

Thank you for this awesome tutorial! A friend gifted me a bunch of older scrapbook paper that she wasn't going to use and I've been trying to think of projects to use it for. Journals like this would be perfect! And I usually save paper bags instead of recycling them, so I have plenty of those too. I'm really excited to give this project a go!

When you did the stitching with the sewing machine what kind of stitch did you use? Also thanks for posting so many great tutorials. I recently bought this cool antique (late 1800s) photo album and I'm wanting to research the people in it and make a cool little journal with all my notes and some of the pictures. All of your tutorials have been easy to understand and I've gotten some really great ideas!

Hi Johanna, nice and useful tutorial 👍, can we even use wall paint on book board as well? do they smell like paint for long or eventually the smell fades away?
