How to make Pigs in a Blanket from scratch.
Here's what you'll need:
1 large egg
1/2 cup milk (125ml)
2 tbsp sugar (30g)
1 tsp instant yeast (3g)
2 cups all purpose flour or bread flour (250g)
1/2 tsp salt (3g)
2 tbsps unsalted butter (25g)
24 pieces breakfast sausage you prefer
Eggwash: 1 egg + 2 tbsps milk beaten

I fry my sausages to release the oil in them so the bread doesn’t get soggy plus you get the browning of them for more flavor too. I’ve made these for special occasions and parties for work.

Instead of making dough from scratch, I find it easier to just used pillsbury crescent rolls instead. If I’m feeling adventurous I’ll make the dough from scratch. Looks really good and yummy 😋. Thank you 🙏
