If you haven’t done a tutorial of working in your ends yet I’d definitely like to see one dedicated to how you do that please 🎉❤ x

I have a playlist where I did a series on the Mandala square just focusing on the ends. you can find it here kzfaq.info/sun/PLkhR0EY1e2xkZIb_CdIDzhwVhvCkZQ7ci However I have started working them in for my newer videos. I will be making shorter videos on the different ways I work them in depending on the stitches, so that is coming as well. Thanks for watching.

i love your videos..! the presentations are so easy to follow, very well explained and demonstrated. Plus, your color choices are ALWAYS so lovely. I have been subscribed for some time but don't comment very often. I appreciate all the effort that goes into the making of these wonderful videos... ☺ edit : yes.. i think it would be beneficial for ppl to see why doing the ends as you go is so quick and easy... and when you're finished,... you are finished ! It is how I have always done it so I of course think it's the way to go.... 😉

Thank you Jane. And I would love to see your method of changing colours without making lumps. Great stuff for our elderly who only have a little movement but know they are making a contribution to life in their retirement home. 😊

Beautiful. Yes, show us the weaving ends as you go, the blanket pattern, and the lacey join as you go please. I want it all.!.ha. ❤😂❤ Oh and what brand yarn and yarn weight do you use plus hook size? Thanks again Jane.
@jspcreate
@jspcreate 5 ай бұрын
The join as you go for the hex and the blanket hexagon are in process, they are working up nicely. I use mostly worsted weight as I can get it in alot of colours, which I love, and it is easy to find where I am. The hook sizes I use the most are a 5.0mm and a 5.5 mm. I use the larger one when making blankets or sweaters to give more lightness to the squares. The smaller one makes great pillow covers, trivets or even coats, as the square come out just slightly firmer. Thanks for asking and for watching 💕

I see that you basically use a standing sc, do you ever use a standing dc when your patterns call for one instead of the chain 2 or 3? I think the standing dc and the standing sc would probably be used the most. I really like the standing dc as it eliminates the chains in the beginning. Also, can you show us how you work those standing dc ends in as you go please. By the way, i really like the way you do the standing sc making it easier to hold on too. Im getting older, so anything that helps with holding onto stitches is greatly appreciated. ...Also, i know im asking a lot of you, but, i like the way you hold your yarn, create your stitches, and your tension. I started learning to crochet at 65 so i need consistency in those areas. So now, you have many more videos you could do for us if you have time. Thanks Jane. ❤❤ 0:12

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I have used a standing dc and hdc, I have not made a tutorial on them yet, it is now on the list. So glad you are enjoying my videos, and that is awesome that you have taught yourself to crochet, it is such a nice relaxing creative way to spend time. Enjoy and thanks for watching.

Love this pattern and changing the colors makes each piece look so different. Thank you. I want to make them with more rounds ,how would you suggest I do that ? Would I just repeat rounds 2 and 3 until I had it the size I wanted ?
@jspcreate
@jspcreate 5 ай бұрын
So glad you like the pattern. You could just keep repeating the rounds, however as the hexagon grows, it may start to "warp" because you are only working single crochet sts and they are short stitches, increasing in the corners my make your shape grow disproportionately or out of balance. I would offset this by only working a single crochet in the corners every second round, then working a corner ( sc, ch 2, sc ) into that single crochet on the next round or even every 3rd round. This would slow down the increasing and the "warping". Hopefully that makes sense. May have to work up a tutorial on this idea. Thanks for the idea. Good luck and thanks for watching.

Love love love your videos ♥️ I love hexies but my OCD has an issue with the uneven edges 🫣 any suggestions lol
@jspcreate
@jspcreate 5 ай бұрын
I hear ya on those uneven edges. I work an extra round after I do the Hex shaping, this one seems to firm up the edges. Then I will block them by pinning them and steaming them or spraying them with water. This helps them come out a little more consistent. Play around with hook size too, I find if I go bigger they get wonky, so if you go down in hook size, they seem to come out more consistent. Hope that helps, thanks for watching.

Glad you like the channel, sorry you had this experience. I do not have an Etsy shop anymore, closed it down awhile back, so you may have clicked on an ad instead? I do have ads on my blog to help keep my content free. I only sell my patterns on my shop page on my website and I do not allow ads on my shop page itself, so there is no confusion with purchasing my patterns. Thanks for watching.
