‪@BMDPortraits‬ shares with you another colored pencil drawing tutorial, an updated version of the Dry Blending technique, making blending colored pencil a lot easier and more efficient still using Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencil. This a new colored pencil drawing technique that every portrait artists especially beginners because this is not the typical burnishing technique, it is a totally different approach to draw using prismacolor premier colored pencil. I call it the dry technique and this colored pencil drawing tutorial is done in real time and i tried to speak purely English just to cater not just my Filipino audience but other non-native Filipino, English Speaking artists and even those who understand English.

napakaresourceful mo lodi you dont stop on experimenting trying out new mats especially the cheap ones. before I tried narin powderize na soft pastel as base pro ewan ko po prang feel q kasi di msyado kapit ang pastel. but it didnt came into my mind to powderize color pencil. lahat po ng sinabi mo is true fr start to finish ha3 base din po sa experience ko sa paggamit ng prisma. so thank you again!

Very interesting. So you have created your own powder pencil blender and your idea is better than the product from Brush and Pencil that has to be used on sanded paper. I will have to try this. I do use pastel pencils and pan pastels but only with oil base pencils, not wax

Ive been wondering also about that powder blender from B&P, but its not available here in d Philippines. I agree in might get messy and muddy with wax

Sir can we make a career by making portrait's , or do we need to do drawings which has our own creativity , but I like making portrait's , and wuld u suggest me shuld I opt for portrait or creative work , because I asked someone they say it's useless to draw portrait's. And by hearing this I was disappointed , sir pls pls pls guide me , because u are more experienced , I learned everything from u , so pls guide me my teacher.🙏🙏🙏🙏

there are so many art styles, mediums, and ways to sell and earn, it also depends on each country and culture, but when it comes to portraiture, the most common is accepting commission works, if u master it, earning possibilities are huge.

Would using pan pastel be advantageous and a sponge to lay a base layer or would pencil wax male a mess?

im a bit apprehensive doing it with wax based pencils like Prisma, i think it will work with oil based like Polychromos

@@BMDPortraits Yes I have had good sucess with Pan Pastel with oils but the waxier the pencil the more difficult it is.
