I'm sharing this easy and relaxing seascape sketch I painted with traditional gouache. The inspiration for this sketch came from our recent family trip to Dorset. We often visit coastal places and the seascape sketches are a regular feature in my sketchbook. I hope I can inspire you to pick up your art materials and paint with me. I included a link to the reference photo below if you want to join me!
LIST OF ART MATERIALS:
🎨 Winsor and Newton Designers Gouache (ultramarine, yellow ochre, raw sienna, Payne’s grey, permanent white, spectrum red, primary blue)
🎨 You can also use watercolour paints. I recommend using professional watercolour brands such as Winsor and Newton or Van Gogh by Royal Talens.
🖌️ Good round synthetic watercolour brush. I used Da Vinci Cosmotop Spin in size 8
🖌️ A big brush is better than a small one but you may need a smaller round brush to add finer details.
📓 Sketchbook: I used a watercolour landscape sketchbook by Moleskin but you can use any sketchbook appropriate for water-soluble art mediums.
✏️ Colour pencils - I used Derwent Inktense Colour pencils in this video
🖊️ Sakura Gelly Roll (White)
🖊️ Posca Pen - White
