In this tutorial, I'll be showing you step by step on how to assemble the Malm 6 Drawer Chest from IKEA. This IKEA 6 Drawer Chest should take you around two hours to finish. Thank you. I'd unpacked everything and could probably have done it with the paper instructions, but this way I can visually see it bit by bit. Your pacing, attention to the little details and the clear vocal instructions made this a breeze and was well worth watching ! :)

At 11:03 I used the plastic fasteners instead of the metal ones , can you suggest a way to get them out ?

For attaching the support bracket for the big drawers, there is no hole in the back piece of the drawer, are we suppose to drill a hole? Is there a way to do it without power tools? 20:57

There should be a very small hole there to you can screw it in, if not then you probably have to drill it

Did you find a hole? I just used a nail to make a tiny hole and then forced the screw in.

I'm so confused. Why do some malm drawers show the wood facing up where the drawers sit and some like this video is white on the top AND bottom of the panels??

February 2024 updates available? I just had this delivered. There are some changes by Ikea (and of course no updated instructions from Ikea). My Task Rabbit cancelled on me 20 minutes after they were scheduled to arrive. Hoping you have some instructions for the newer version of these Ikea is selling.

17:13 The bottom wasn't attached correctly in this shot so I assumed mine looking the same was ok. You fixed it later on but I've already hammered in the plastic screws into all the draws. Killl meee

Same here for Malm 6-drawer chest delivered Feb 28, 2024. No updated instructions on Ikea website either. In fact, this is not listed on the website at all now as of March 3, 2024.
