Thanks for your service. 21 years Marine aviation here , Avionics. But guess what , I was the guy that fixed everyone's vehicle at the squadron and the only AVI guy that would do A/F work and Power Plants. So much fun. Great video.

I worked in the tool crib for F-16s at Edwards AFB and I remember whenever the guys would shatter a screwdriver bit they would have to find every tiny shard. Then we'd have to piece the bit back together before we could check the box in. Ahhhh, good times 😁

Learned to spanner at tech with teng tools and Kamasa before they went to china,that was 24 years ago, best value for not a lot of cash if you ask me!

I must admit. I am a big fan of teng .I have the master mechanic set and I have never broken a tool. Change from snap off because I was sick of breaking stuff. Yes the y have a lifetime guarantee.. but so does teng and like I said.i have never had to use the guarantee.🤘🤘

Funny you mention tool accountability in the military. I had a buddy tell me about having to tear a helicopter engine back apart over a missing socket! He late found the socket was in his pocket the whole time!!

Please detail the wheel attachment method... are the screws full depth or just panel punched...? I'm concerned for robust longevity of the castors.

I believe they're full depth. I had Luke sit on this tool box and I pushed him across the grass like it was nothing. Check out the opening scenes of the satellite revival

Yeah i mean 2 grand sounds like a lot but for a box and all those tools alone thats about right. You ever sat down and kinda price checked all the stuff in your box? Im just an enthusiast and i have easily 1500 not including power tools or my box. SO i guess if youre starting out or getting a shop put together or youre buying a mobile set like kevin is, its a good idea. But having the memories of buying that specific tool for a reason makes it better. Like a 1-3/8" 3/4 drive socket +breaker bar to change your hub out on the side of the interstate memories. Take that into consideration.

That modular system is really sweet. Why aren't all tool kits that easy? We sent people into space in the 60's but in 2019 most peoples boxes still look like a flea market junk pile. :/

You know you can bolt a steel plate to the underbody by the engine and that’s how you get factory counterweight on the case 1845. That way you don’t need suitcase weights

I’m sorry man no offense but affordable is not $2000+++. You know darn well we can buy a VAN/wagon/truck AND fill it with craftsman/kobalt/harbor freight tools. For $2000 and have a dedicated recovery rig. Too rich for my blood.

Heh, 2k for all that is a bargain. If you depend on your own tools for work, you wouldn't dare put harbor freight in your drawer. Those wrenches will round themselves over too quick. And compared to snapon/Mac, you might pay 12k+ for all that.

Andrej Walilko I’m an mechanic by trade. I have tools from every brand, I have ton of snap on, cornwell, I also have tools from harbor freight that I use everyday, and haven’t had a issue yet, I got 5 years of use and abuse out of my Pittsburgh breaker bar. They do have some good tools. And the new icon line coming out, those tools were actually designed by a snap on head tool designer. Hell I’ve seen people who own most harbor freight and they work just fine, and yes they’ve broken them more frequently then cornwell or Mac or snap on, job still got done. Not saying harbor freight is the best thing since sliced bread but their some tools from the bigger brands that just aren’t worth it sometimes, especially the tools that don’t get used as hard or as much as others. I love snap on and cornwell tools, I have plenty of them and I still continue to buy them, yes I’d prefer them over harbor freight, but saying if you depend on your tools for work then you would dare put harbor freight tools in your box is a little much in my opinion.

I thought your attention to detail was just a trait we shared and as soon as you said army I got flashbacks to layout after layout and arms room checks. They really grind some OCD into their troops. You picked a much more applicable MOS than I did clearly. Great video.
