@@chatwithtisa I guess to add to your previous vid about going to work abroad and things to prepare fir and do, you should also create a "return home fund" from your 1st year so that what you have been doing with your cash like investing is not disturbed by the move back home. It's like creating a rainy day fund of sorts. Thank you, however little we keep investing cos you touched on the average amount invested and with the market falling like this your average invested price goes down which in turn you will profit soon when the market starts to recover instead of waiting for the price to recover back to your initial invested price to start seeing profits. @@chatwithtisa I started a few months ago, with R100 I started with buying shares that were 20cents or R1 ,and every month I increase a bit more. I got a dividend payout of like R2.59 days later it increased to R200 and used that to re-invest

It gets tough, it gets overwhelming and I understand, I’m glad I could be a source of strength during these times 😊

Hi Rabelani, the @154 represents the amount paid in cents so divide that amount by 100 cents and it gives the rand amount 😊 Depending on your settings your dividends will be automatically reinvested in the company or paid to your EasyEquities account balance, check out the August investment video and the Dividend & updates video I posted recently.

Buying at market price is buying immediately when you hit the buy button at the current price. Buy limit is telling the system that if the current price is R45, you only want to buy the stock at R42 and if the price doesn't get to R42 your buy is not activated and your money is safe in your pocket. I hope that makes sense. 👍🏽

Hey Shawn, the first option (market order) means that your order will be processed immediately when the stock market is open at the price you processed your order at or any amount the share price might be (remember the share price is always changing) so if you places your order when the share price was R50 and the share price changes to R51 when your order is being processed, it will be processed at that price, the same happens if the share price went down. The second option (limit order) you’re saying place my order only when the share price is R50 or less, so if it changes to R51 before your order is processed, your order will stay pending until the share price hits that R50 mark or less. Sometimes it can take a while, sometimes it’s instant, it all depends on stock market events. It’s important to be patient.
