After just 4 days in London following my weekend trip to Cologne, it was time to head south for my next adventure. My annual trip to Fuerteventura, Canary Islands with friends. We only booked these flights around 14 days before departure, with the tickets costing around £100 return.
After arriving at London Gatwick on a bleak January morning, we quickly made our way to the departure gate. Today our flight would be operated by G-EZWY, a 1.7 year old A320 aircraft (equipped with Sharklets).
Once boarded we pushed back on schedule, making our way to 26L. Once airborne we quickly left the North Sea, passing en-route Bay of Biscay, Santiago, Lisbon & Faro before crossing the Atlantic water to Fuerteventura.
It was a smooth flight with little turbulence - we landed in Fuerteventura on the 'usual' approach between some high cloud cover.
It's such a perfect time to visit Fuerteventura in January - 24 degrees & sunshine!
