I enjoyed the video Tem million years ago, I worked with a cabinet maker in Corpus Christi, Texas who worked for the same construction company I worked for. I got to help him work on some of the teak furniture he was making for the owner of the company. The owner had large planks of teak in a huge shed in the construction yard. I wish I had asked for some of it. Beautiful wood. Your bowl is really nice. That is neat that you got to meet with your friend.

Thank you Travis! It was not ten million years ago but many years ago I turned some candle holders(Sconce) from a piece of Teak that came from a ship. It was the rails they tied the ropes to. It had huge holes here and there for bolting it down. I made us a pair then turned our mothers single ones. It seems I have those back now. Might see if our kids my like something their grandmothers had that came from me. Thanks for watching, Gary

Gorgeous wood, and a very attractive shape! I did a double-take when I saw the very nice shape. Several years ago, I turned a silver maple catch-all bowl that's a nearly identical match for your bowl, right down to the four ring grooves on the base. A happy surprise! 😲 😁 😂

Glad you had the chance to meet your YT buddy in person. I could easily see that both of you were happy. I've used the hot glued tenon myself on small turnings. Thanks Valerie. We saw you come into one of the demos and I text you. Was hoping to catch up but you were gone before we got out. I think I replied last night but we were at a family reunion out in the boonies. Bad connection! Gary

@@ThePapa1947 I saw the text, but not you. You are not the only person I did not catch up with, in spite of trying. So many good demos, there was not enough time to socialize except at night.
