Hi, thanks for your awesome tutorial. Unfortunately it did not work for me. Part 1 - the drivers were already up to date. part 2 after restart - the plugged in USB device did not show up on the list in Disk Management, so there was no where to change the drive name. Nevertheless, this is an awesome tutorial, very well laid out. Interesting side effect, after the wpdmt install and restart, my laptop started much faster! Thanks again.

Hello, I have tried the steps you have mentioned in the video. The usb is still not recognized. Could there be something on the USB that is blocking the detection? If the USB cannot be recognized , how do I scan it for viruses? Even in safe mode, I don't see the USB. The last thing I put on it was a zoom recording, maybe that caused the problem. I want to try to resolve this myself, before taking it to a shop. I have a Lenovo Windows 11 laptop and Windows 10 desktop. Please help.

I figured it out. Spacey me. It's a new PNY thumb drive. Ya have to pull back the sliding sheath all the way past the point where ya feel some resistance. Then it snaps into place, completely retracted. It is only then that the thumb drive is inserted completely into the USB port. I plugged it in and pulled it out a few times when I first bought it, but I did it so infrequently it didn't sink in enough that ya have to retract the sheath all the way back till it snaps into place.🥴

For those it still didn't work , try rebooting your android/ios and then try again .... I did apply all the tutorials and lastly thought my cable is the fault but no all i had to do was reboot my phone ....

(Attention)Guys before follow ing process you should must cable both terminal clean by Spray Electric Cleaner. After watching almost 100 videos I came to the conclusion that even after doing all the processes my USB was not being detected.After doing all the process I spray the electric cleaner both terminals USB then went and detected my USB.😅😅

Go into Device Manager> Scroll to USB Controllers> Simply click Disable and then Enable (I clicked on the 1st one listed) This is what did it for me. This dude used a "virtual machine" for a tutorial...why I dunno, not a really good walk through, he needs to use actual hardware

You would figure all this would be figured out by now, on the computer technology timeline. It's all about the $$. They push this out and let us hassle with all the "bugs".
