Looks and sounds great. The more videos I watch of people relocating to and traveling around Mexico, the harder it is to choose which places I may want to try in the future. That's a good problem! You guys have helped put Puerto Escondido on my list.

That's one of the ways we got motivated to make the move. Puerto Escondido is a great town to put on your list. Just gotta make you check it's covid restrictions right now everything is starting to close due to high covid cases.

I’ve enjoyed your video’s so much. I love ton travel. I was just in Puerto Vallarta. I was looking for an old town old Mexico Vibe, really only found a mix in Puerto Vallarta, but very cool area. I’ve been searching for other destinations along the coast line, and your trip to Puerto Escondido has been nothing short of amazing to watch. I honestly think this will be my next destination based on what I have seen from your videos. Please keep us update on the covid rules there... Thank you so much for your video’s . I made the trip from Oaxaca City to Huatulco (another beach city) back in June 2021, which is a similar distance/trip to Puerto Escondido. The 8-hour trip is one of the curviest roads I've ever been on. I recommend stopping in the mountains for a layover otherwise you are on a long and dizzy ride. Safe Travels!

Amigos, you’ve completely sold us on Puerto 🥺🙌🏼🌅 our requirements of a place to live are almost identical to yours - hahaha, Geovanny will DEFINITELY agree with the good food thing too 😅 PDC is definitely not the place for us, so we’re hopefully leaving in January on the quest to find our new home and this was super helpful🙌🏼 we can’t wait to see more on the cities you’re going to visit in the next few weeks, especially San Miguel de Allende 😍😍 Saludos y I abrazo fuerte amigos 🤗

Puerto Escondido has been so good to us we want to wish y'all the best of the luck just remember make sure TED is ok with where y'all choose to live. We have been to San Miguel de Allende and we were able to make a vlog on it but we didn't get the opportunity enjoy it because we only spent two days there. Y'all know #vloglife lol saludos familia!

Felipe congrats on your big move. If you don't mind us asking, where are you moving from? When you arrive to Puerto you will find out that a lot is getting shut down due the rise of covid cases. Don't get discouraged pay a visit to our friends at Losodeli Hotel/Hostel and they will have enough social gatherings to make you feel right at home.

I will be there for the 180 day my tourist visa allow until I can figure out my life and get healthy and it seems by your descripition. I picked the perfect place to heal and get healthy. Maybe if you are there between Nov-Apr we can meet. Safe travels young ones.

This is a great question, we have been thinking of hosting a monthly live sessions. Do you have any suggestions on subjects? Some ideas we have are sessions on monthly expenses, Q&A's but not sure what else.

Wifi and internet are really unreliable in Puerto Escondido. Some places are starting to invest in Starlink, and there are a few coworking spaces that have fiber optic, but it still has a ways to go to be considered steady internet

As of now one of us has a remote job from Chicago and the other is working on our KZfaq channel. We hope the KZfaq channel will grow and at the same time we are looking for good career opportunities as we travel in Mexico!

Remotely 🤔 This is great I am so excite, I retired from my job after 5 yrs. and work for myself from home now. This will need some planning but I really think we can do it.!! After all that is the power of remote working( you can do it from anywhere) 💃💃💃💃 Jenny you have beautiful skin and Carisma. I really enjoy watching you both.

Good video if you want to visit this area. I will check out your Veracruz video. My hubby and I have been in Merida & Oaxaca. Great! Next year (winter) Baja California...Cabo, San Jose, La Paz and then....still trying to figure out. We have wanted to go to Puebla and also the ruins of Palenque, mayble San Cristobal de las Casas. Are you planning to visit any of these places? Would love to hear your input. Tks and keep them coming. Be safe! You are a super cute couple!

Hi Laura Mexico has so much to offer! We love that you have so many places in mind. We also want to check out San Cristobal de las Casas everyone has so many great things to say about that place. San Cristobal was in our itinerary but we ended up in Oaxaca way longer than expected. We almost visited Puebla while we stayed in Orizaba but we decided to stay put in Orizaba. We started our channel by visiting Los Cabos, Todos Santos and La Paz. We want to go back to La Paz that place was amazing! The area of los cabos, todos santos and la paz is more expensive that inland Mexico but it's understandable considering its a peninsula. thank you for your kind comment. Hi Jenny & Kevin. Thanks for your detailed pros, you gave us a very useful information! I have a question - I am going to Puerto Escandido with my family for around 4-5 months, what is the best way to look for renting individual apartments for this period? Airbnb doesn't seem to be the best option, there are not so many options there and prices are sometimes are too high. Is there any other way to find, maybe local FB groups, agencies ... ? Maybe it is possible just to ride on a motobyke around looking for the "rent a house" sign, will it work? Thanks in advance and keep it up :)

True story, I actually got hit in the head with a mango, or rather walked into it while I was looking down. I love this place, will live there someday soon. My only concern is too much too fast. Don't want to see another Tulum.

Gotta watch out with the vengeful mangoes they don’t play around 😂. In the past two years it’s grown a ton when I, kevin, visited in the 1990’s with my family it was still dirt roads everywhere. It’s the responsibility of the government and foreigners who invest in these beach towns to not blow it up like Tulum. Same thing has happened with Sayulita it’s such a small town but prices are super inflated.

Love some of the details you shared. I have been researching PE for a while. We were to visit last winter but we all know what happened there! I never heard it was that walkable, awesome! All never heard there are so many gyms and other group activities. We are all about getting out and exploring! Other places, follow the coast and visit Manzanillo and Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding towns! Keep having fun!

Yes there’s a whatsapp group called “people Escondido” and there’s a ton of social events happening often. We hope to check out the coast in the November-January. Hopefully it all works out

Hi Ben! Puerto Escondido is a great place to live but it’s also growing a lot. Affordable can be very different for everyone so that depends on your budget. We will say we noticed real estate is way higher in los cabos compared to Puerto Escondido

You talk about the other restaurants the Italian restaurants and so on can you share some of the prices there are they comparable to the Mexican prices there in Oaxaca. How do you compare the prices between European food and Italian food to the Mexican peso crisis

This is a great question. These days with remote being offered more often this all depends what kind of city you’d like to live in. So what do you like? A big city, or are you looking for something small?

Not great if you rely on it for zoom meetings and work that requires strong speeds. Mostly fine if you just need it for basic web browsing. There were regular outages when we were there but more and more places are installing Starlink so I would think it’s improved some since then

The covid situation is very tough! Puerto even though it is small it is broken up into two municipalities and both of them have very different perspectives. To top it off the municipalities don't get along so they often compete or hold grudges. Right now the covid is rough so one municipality (Colotepec) decided to shut bars, beaches, and place a dry law. The other municipality (San Pedro) is normally way stricter but in this case has not shut down it's beaches and only has dry law from 11pm-8am. In San Pedro masks are required if the police catches you without a mask they lock you up in jail for 2 hours. AND YES THEY WILL LOCK YOU UP. Hopefully by Nov the situation changes. The beaches in San Pedro are the best so as long as those are open you'll be fine.

No not everything is shut down but depending what you are looking for will determine your experience. The bars and clubs are mostly shut but most beaches are open.The covid situation is very tough! Can you send me some information about renting a place for less than US$300 a month with a full kitchen and TV and king-size bed. Do you know of any closer to the beach of course the better

San Miguel de Allende has turned into the most expensive Mexican town yet!! What people are trying to rent out for jacked up prices, is truly criminal. They are greedy and running out the locals from needed housing...

@@EatBailaTravel That would be my number one question if I ever moved away from San Diego, where are the like minded believers in Christ and is there a body of people I can get involved with to further the Kingdom of Christ, I used to go to Northwest indiana for pastors school conferences. Not much Christianity in Mexico, its mostly catholic and that's the mother of abominations in the bible, especially in Oaxaca, its full of idolatry with their so called 'cultural festivals' they don't call them idolatry or satan worship, they call them 'cultural festivals'
