So I was vegetarian age 3-11 (no one else in my family was) and then switched to pescatarian 11-21 (current day). Honestly it’s not so much the taste of meat that is a no for me it’s the *texture!* I tried a few times over the years but I never could get over that part. Try to stir the contents every 3 mins to avoid any burning. * Add in: Worcestershire, beef and chicken broth, and red wine. Drop the tied spices in as well. * Let this gently boil for 22 mins, with a low heat, and stir the mix at least 3 times.
Take out the spices and add in some pepper, salt, and vinegar. * Place a lid on the pot and let the contents continue to stay warm with a very low level of heat. * Turn on the broiler and toast your bread under it for 2 mins then flip the pieces and toast for 2 more mins. You did it wrong, first off you have to use Applewood smoked bacon it has the best flavor and the best texture, then you want to put a couple bacon slices on a pan and Sizzle it on the stove top, and for the best way to make sure none of the Grease flies out put a lid top of a pot on the pan, if you do it just right it will be the best flavor you'll experience in your entire life.

I stopped eating meat at 14 (I'm 32 now) and recently accidentally through cross contamination ate a chunk of bacon, and I gotta say... worse than I remember. It coated my mouth with a gross oily feeling and overpowered the taste of what I was eating to the point I had to take a moment to cleanse my palate. I can't understand why anyone likes it. (I've accidentally eaten meat through cross contamination before and chicken was as ok as i remember and i got a little ground beef accidentally on a pizza before and that wasn't so bad.) I think our tastes just change when foods aren't our norms.
