I found that when I go abroad, the Malaysian food does not taste the same as at home, cause they lack some local ingredients to make the food right. 😊

Gosh, did you guys actually finish the food. So much food on the table. Looks like you guys have really caught on to the Malaysian makan bugs, haha. Your reactions when out of Malaysia are exactly the same as the majority of Malaysians when we are away for extended period. But I know some started to miss nasi lemak & roti canai a few days away from home country. Hope to see you guys back in your adopted country, Malaysia again in the future. Happy & safe travelling guys.

We did! It was our first meal of the day quite late in the day too. We miss Malaysia very much and even if the flavors aren’t exactly what we are used to, it still satisfies the cravings. Thank you very much! We would love to make it back to Malaysia sooner than later

@@FoodandFootprints U guys had so much Malaysian food at that restaurant, it reminded me of my experience in Chennai (your step dad is from Madras, right). I was trapped in a hotel for two weeks, busy making preparations for an incoming business trade n investment mission delegations from Malaysia. But I got a few hours off my duty n sneaked out to a Malaysian restaurant in Chennai, had roti canai, had pasembur @ rojak, n another dish with teh tarik, unbelievable. And also took that opportunity to get a tailor suit made from Raymond. I was overloaded with food, but it was worth d while. 😀

In Malaysia you can ask for extra curry as the roti is always so big and even other curries ie the gravy from the chicken or fish curry or both.

The masak lemak paled in comparison to the rich and bold ones we had in Malaysia. Fish head curry was solid but also not as bold as what we had in Malaysia. Would say the first set of dishes were best

Yep, because we usually eat nasi lemak with spoon and fork. In fact, when we eat out we eat with utensils and not with our hands. Love fish head curry, even much more than masak lemak which is not a favourite of mine even though I’m from Negeri Sembilan where that dish originates from.😊

Nothing beats the masak lemak cili padi we had in Malaysia, especially in Kajang at Itik Salai Masthar. But also those ingredients aren’t easily found here, plus the itik + daging salai are absolutely next level

Would say of everything, the nasi lemak, roti canai, teh tarik and mee goreng Mamak were closest

@@adamghaniahmad It was enjoyable, but definitely not as bold and rich as some of the great fish head curry we had in Malaysia. The one from Annuar in Bangsar is the best we had!

The food looks good...but u dont show the proper way to eat them...which is kinda sad n definitely not satisfying to watch....
