Hey everyone! A couple people mentioned that prices would be helpful, so here's what we spent at each place through the day in USD: 7-Eleven - $8.58 Family Mart - $6.54 Lawson - $11.49 That's a total of $26.61. Not bad. A couple of those meals were even hot! Hope ya'll enjoyed this one 😊

Second time I said hi and expected and would of been happy with just a "hi" back. They were so nice and down to earth to chat to me about Japan, youtube(im just starting) and travel experiences. What you see on screen is totally them in real world amazing, humbled, hard-working creators and people. I wish them success which they deserve. Back this channel to 100k subscribers💪💪!!

*Convenience store fried chickens are also a very popular recommendation. The fresh and hot ones at the counter, not the ones from the fridge✨ Some prefers Lawson, some prefers Family Mart. *Fun thing I have another youtube video on my browser, and the Japanese idol in it is having the same salad and a melon bread from 7-11 as her usual breakfast. ( kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r9Wmdaadm5u5iIE.html )(Link just to provide a reference to the video.) *Some kids can't live without Melon Bread. Melon is the shape not the flavor. It is a very popular meal (usually breakfast). *Yakisoba bun is something from the post war era. It's meant to filled you up instead of being a delicacy. Nice yakisoba can be a good treat thought. Yakisoba can be found alone without the bun. It's Japanese style fried noodle. Which is also a simple and affordable fast food to filled people up quickly. *As to onigiri, I love Lawson's Pickled Plum Onigiri . 🍙

I highly recommend giving melon pan another try maybe from a bakery or cafe instead next time! I’ve found the prepackaged ones are never as good and sometimes don’t have filling! It’s one of my favorite snacks so give it another try for me 😂

Hi from Okinawa! The pancakes are my go to! If you find yourselves in Family Mart again you HAVE to try it with a spicy famichiki in between the pancakes. You can find them up front on the hot plate. Lawsons has great chicken nuggets up front too. The egg salad sandwiches are a favorite of mine too. Another suggestion would be curry ramen instant noodles.

Apparently, Skytree is one of the safest structures because of it's anti-jishin (earthquake) technology. I always went to Mini Stop or Family Mart, I used to love the fruit sandwiches. I used to have a daily Melonpan with vanilla ice-cream inside (oishii). Japan is so convenient, in every aspect. Even the fact that almost all of their announcements on public transport etc. are made in multiple languages. In Australia all announcements are made in English. I don't think Western society can hold a candle to Asian hospitality and thoughtfulness.

Interesting facts: 7-Eleven originated in Dallas Texas but has been owned and operated by 7-Eleven Japan since 2005. Japan also has the highest concentration of 7-Eleven stores of any country by far. Not surprisingly 7-Eleven is the largest convenience store company on the planet by a wide margin.

100% 7-Eleven is the best! Tia is so right. And yes, tuna-mayonnaise is a great go to. That said, in my opinion even the worst of Japanese kombini's is better than most other countries convenience stores. Pricing in Japan isn't allowed to be that much higher with a recommended retail price so prices across the board are almost uniform. This contrasts with a country like Australia where convenience stores are enabled to price the convenience into the prices of the products leading to items that are substantially more expensive than their Woolworths/Coles/Aldi alternatives. Having spent so much time in Japan, every time I go into a "convenience" store outside Japan, I think of it as an inconvenience store. Being convenient feels really part of Japanese life.
