This type of authentic restaurant is a touristic gem. I had no interest in tteokbokki until this video, with a cute apron bonus.

It's pretty cool eh @Mudskipper9876! A lot of similar tteokbokki places were located around elementary schools for the kids to eat after school. They are slowly disappearing but you can still find them here and there!

Oh wow you live in an awesome area Mike! I've ridden past Sindang-dong on the bus multiple times thinking I really want to check it out, and those alleyways are so amazing to look at and explore! We barely scratched the surface when we were there, so we will have to return and see more later on for sure!

I felt like I am with a close friend taking me on a tour of the neighbourhood while watching your video, and telling me about the secret of tteokbokki and how to eat it. Never seen anyone explain about this fav snack of many so well. Loved going on a "walk" with you.

well....I am wanting the Bettman Curse to end. So, the Oilers, even know they beat us, most of my friends want the cup to come back home. Bettman's Curse: 1) last cup in Canada, 31 years ago 2) Gary Bettman becomes the NHL Commish...31 years ago (interesting coincidence?) 3)Bettman's mandate is to focus on the USA and grow the NHL in the USA In a salary cap league, which means somewhat of an even playing field for smaller market teams, 19% of the teams are Canadian. This means mathematically a Canadian team should win approximately once every 5 years on average. HOWEVER, perhaps the taxes in some US states and more sunshine are attractive. But but but... an NHL player winning the cup in Canada will become a god, has dreamed about this his whole childhood, and will never buy his own meal or drink in his home city generations after winning the cup= ALSO very attractive! Regardless, lets say we give the advantage to the US based team and we gratuitously exaggerate the advantage and say a US based team has double the advantage of winning vs a Canadian team. Now, this would mean a Canadian team would certainly win the cup every 11 or 12 years! Nope..... OK, lets give the US team even more advantage in the salary cap era and say they have 4x advantage of winning a cup vs a Canadian team (which is mathematically absurd). This means a Canadian team should win at least once every 24 years. Dude, we have not won a cup in 31 years. The math doesn't make sense and something smells very foul= Bettman Curse. Go Oil Go! and end the curse.

Can definitely agree with a lot of the points here @good2goskee! I think the salary cap should be calculated after taxes to make things as fair as possible, as it's quite obvious that it works against Canadian teams because of this. Oilers stomped the cats last game, but it'll be a huge battle for them to get a reverse sweep for sure. Would be amazing if they pulled it off!

What they really need to do is to stop building expensive high rises that very few people can afford to live in. Korea doesn't have a housing supply problem, they have a housing affordability problem.
@lostthenfound
@lostthenfound 2 ай бұрын
@rtrrr7215 they are doing a lot of rebuilding and overhauling already in the Seoul/Gyeonngi-do area. I understand why they are doing it, but will definitely miss the tight alleyways!

Another great video guys. Thanks. 👏 Since there is no Yelp in Korea, what app do you use (If any) to find restaurant reviews? When I go to Korea, I usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express first and last couple of days because it's so easy to get to the airport. There are hundreds of restaurants near there but they average to way below average in quality. Also I've never found a great Korean Chinese food around there at all.
@lostthenfound

@2GoodLookin thanks so much for all of your nice comments and for watching our videos! For restaurant reviews, I prefer to look at Naver Blogs and just type in terms like "_____역 가성비 맛집" ("____ station cheap good restaurant") and then look at the pictures to make judgment. A lot of high rated places on Naver Maps give people free things to get 5 star reviews, so it's hard to know what's actually high rated. If you end up near Sujin Station in Seongnam ever, check out this Chinese Restaurant called Uicheongak (의천각) naver.me/x9JczJQe I think that's my new #1 place after visiting it on one of these random adventures.
