Eating WILD BOAR Steak at KRAKOW's BEST RATED Restaurant.

Today I'm in Krakow to try some of Poland's best cuisine. The restaurant is called and it's one of Krakow's top rated. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with many tables located in the 13th century stone cellar. They have a tradition stone oven with grill. Where many of the special grilled meats are prepared. They offer dishes like cooked duck, bigos with 9 different meats, wild boar and deer meat stew to name a few. I opted for the wild boar steak, it was a very large steak and covered in what looked to be capers. They turned out to be small peppers, the plate also included wild mushrooms, potatoes and red cabbage. I also tried a very nice glass of Polish wine. Love, love, love your channel and following your adventures around Poland. I’ve been to Pod Aniolami twice. Once in early 2000’s and then again last summer while on vacation in Poland. Actually sat at that table next to the old weapons. So cool. So many restaurants in Krakow are located in gorgeous cellars. You should visit Krakow Underground museum (it’s under the old town market square; you enter from Sukiennice cloth hall.) The museum is very interesting and explains the history of all the cellars and how the city built up over the centuries. Also, there is a region close to Krakow with lots of vineyards (along Eagles Nest castle trail and Ojcowski National Park; beautiful region). Poland once produced lots of wine, but then came the cooling of the climate, partitions, two world wars and communism. I just recently read an article explaining that if all those events didn’t happen Poland would possibly produce more wine than countries such as Spain or Italy. Now the climate is warming up again and the tradition is coming back. I wholeheartedly agree with what you said, “Poland is unbelievable. The mysteries, what you can find.” Can’t wait for my next visit there and more discoveries.

What an exquisite restaurant. I loved the presentation of the meal and it was a masterpiece. The waitress was very cordial and extremely knowledgeable. What a fantastic experience. This video was very well done and the restaurant was a five star.

I would highly recommend this restaurant, even though it's a bit pricey for Poland. Wroclaw is a beautiful city, I'm sure that you will enjoy it. I have some other videos from Wroclaw, that you might want to check out. Have a wonderful time.

Gródek nad Dunajcem is a town located 100 kilometers south of Krakow. the vineyard is located on a mountain slope above Lake Różnów. the restaurant pod aniolami is actually worth recommending

Pod Angelami is a good restaurant, but there are a lot of such atmospheric places in Krakow. Enjoy your visit. I'm very glad you like Krakow. "Maczanka krakowska" - a dish as old as imperial and royal Krakow consists of three main ingredients: properly prepared pork neck, aromatic sauce and a roll, necessarily a Kaiser roll. This combination allows you to feel the flavour of old Kraków and move into an atmosphere already forgotten. We would now call "Maczanka Krakowska" the first Polish fast food. "Maczanka Krakowska" as a fast food form (not restaurant style), can be bought in the Jewish quarter at Judah Food Market (Świętego Wawrzyńca Street 16) in a place called "Andrus Maczanka Po Krakowsku".

Dąbrowa Górnicza is part of the silesian voivodeship but culturally Zagłębie Dąbrowskie that this city belongs to is not Silesia but Lesser Poland the same as Kraków. So yep the girl updated you fine.

Smalec i prefere with pickles or tomato and meybe som good ham on a sandwich simply using smalec/pork fat insted of buter on som ham sandwich

The best restaurant in Krakow and throughout Poland is BOTTIGLIERIA 1881. It's a restaurant with two Michelin stars. To eat there, you need to book a table well in advance. It's an expensive restaurant with a tasting menu that changes depending on the season. I recommend deer steak, it's tastier than wild boar dishes.

So that restaurant has 4.6 out of 5 rating on google. While this restaurant has 4.5 out of 5 stars. So they are very close. The other one is much more expensive. So, for value, this is likely better. I appreciate your opinion.

@@TravelAddictGuy Such rankings only make sense when applied to conventional restaurants. Top ones often have a lot of hateful opinions. See how low the scores are for restaurants considered the best in the world. It is some kind of disease that people hate very good hotels and restaurants, not to mention many famous people.

@@yakeosicki8965 I think those Michelin Restaurants should be judged differently, after all they do something unique and unusual. I don't know if I'll ever have the chance to experience one, as the prices are very high.

I've just hunted and eaten (raw) a white bear walking near my home in Poland. Lots of them here. First I drank his warm blood. It's an old Polish custom.

@@TravelAddictGuy When I was in Copenhagen some years ago a landlady presenting the apartment explained to me with enthusiasm what plastic garbage bags are, how they are tied and taken to the dumpster outside , and what an electric stove is. I found it was funny, she was also nice and funny so I pretended to be an illiterate peasant from Poland.

She works in restaurant in Krakow and she doesn’t know where Dąbrowa Górnicza is? WOW. FFS, it’s not even close to Germany. I thought only muricans have no clue about geography but apparently the young generation in Poland missed all geography classes as well. KEKW
