As a german (born and still being raised) and a loyal linda subscriber of almost 3 years now, I have to say, I got so exited about the love and appreciation for our food. You have to understand, there is not alot of praise or acknowledgement for our culture not just around the world but also within our own country, so it always makes me really happy if people make an effort to get to know some of our strengths better and Thank you for that Linda

I am happy that you tried the Lithuanian pink soup. However, I do believe that kefir may have a different taste in Canada than local one. And usually we dilute the kefir with a bit of milk. Also, I like to chop the eggs and add them to the soup. But I hope one day you will visit Lithuania and try the local soup and meat potato dumblings. ❤❤

@@sabrinakunigyoga2387 probably because a lot of Germans recommended it and told her it was German. I think many of us Germans don't question that it's originally from Austria because it's a staple in our cuisine (tho I have actually never tried it as a German lmao)

Linda, this is so beautiful. I feel like people are so quick to shy away from cuisines outside their own culture or not immediately available to them in restaurants. I certainly wasn't confident enough to recreate dishes with ingredients so different from what I was used to for the longest time, and the fear of possible messing them up or adapting them too much and consequently be seen as disrespectful held me back. My German mom got into Korean pop culture a few years back and found the dishes she saw in Kdrama so tasty looking, she started to make her own Kimchi and moved on to popular meals without any second thought. She took whichever ingredients were similar and available to her and gave it her best recreating them as closely as possible. I was so impressed. You can learn so much about a culture through their food alone and I urge everyone to try out new things, even if it seems daunting at first ❤

I really hate seeing videos of other content creators criticizing you. Makes me so upset. I don’t understand why they think you’re harmful to others. For me, when I was going through an ED, your videos have always cheered me up. I have always struggled with food(BED to be more precise) and watching your videos makes me so happy. I don’t struggle with BED any longer and I learn to eat in a healthy manner now. I eat everything in moderation now. I don’t restrict myself either and still continue to lose weight like it’s no issue! Thanks to you, you’re one of the reason why my body is healing. You taught me to not fear food. Food isn’t the issue. We should listen to our body💪🥰

so honoured and happy for Hong Kong to be first on the list!! 豆腐花/tofu dessert is traditionally made with gypsum powder 熟石膏粉 which is heat stable but it is pretty hard to find - and you can also have the dessert cold which is perfect in the summer!

You should try Menemen for breakfast. Mantı in garlic yogurt -the turkish dumpling- for lunch and also Musakka with Ayran for dinner😂 You'd love them!🇹🇷🇹🇷

I literally LOVE this idea so much and all these dishes looked amazing!! I was wondering if for a part two you could make Chebakia from Morocco? They're a bit of a roller coaster to make but SOOOOO good and my fave childhood dessert!!!

I recently started taking my eating disorder recovery seriously and I pushed myself to try and stop counting calories. your channel has been an encouragement to me in this. it's been really hard and i've felt like giving up a lot, but overall I am already feeling better in my body. when I'm not forcing myself to eat or not eat, it becomes increasingly more comfortable to be in my skin. thanks for the inspiration to make this change
