Frittoli is first of all a great actress, then a singer. That's what I've always loved about her. Even if her voice isn't in the greatest shape, she still delivers a stunning performance!

hm kmn Wow I just noticed that Frittoli sings that trio a bit... differently than it's in the score. She sings it lower. There's no high D at the end. It doesn't sound bad though (and it's better to sing it lower than to screw the high notes). She does the same thing in Deh se piacer mi vuoi at the end. I'll try to upload it too. Sadly she's not so young and her voice is sometimes overpowering her. Still, she's one of my favourite artists :)

You're right, it is an horribly difficult role. In my opinion, she was too old to sing this at that point. There are however live recordings of her singing the two arias in 2001 (i think, or 2003? early 2000s either way) and she sounds WAY better. You should listen to those too!
