She was the first Ronin, but also needed Hawkeye because she was a double agent with her own agenda to find her dads killer and bed the ronin title. I really loved her in the Hawkeye series, and I’m enjoying her own series as well quite a bit. Hopefully this leads to the return of the Netflix heroes so we can see them in more settings and stories (Daredevil is on a cross country tour rn with these cameos LOL) Great video as always!

Also spirit animal is something that belongs to a very specific tribe/nation who's name I can't remember right now but it's extremely sacred and shouldn't be used by anyone outside that tribe/nation who know how and when if ever it should be spoken of, just a tip! 25:10 Personally I don’t think this Moon Knight series takes place on Earth-616. The entire book hinges on Nefaria’s plan to prepare for the events of the subsequent Age of Ultron storyline, and since that book doesn’t take place on Earth-616, it makes sense that this one doesn’t either. This would also explain why the deaths of Echo and the Night Shift are never brought up again.

I would be interested in a story arc involving Echo and the kingpin's son, the Rose. It would be interesting if there was a secret history between the two being that they shared the same father. Was there possibly jealously, shared resentment, sibling rivalry, or maybe even some romance between the characters? There are so many directions the story could go. And even in a modern day arc, that would still prove to be an interesting interaction.

She was kind of OP for no reason? ? can read, feel, do anything that anyone's does..etc.., etc.? and even talk! , but she is 'deaf?' super athletic, super musical, super painter, super learning abilities, .."she will pronunciatie the words perfectly, but cannot hear them".. she either can feel the vibration, or cannot, words ARE vibrations, she can actually feel them, so .. that was kind of weird.. somethings look better in paper when written, but they don't seem to fit well... this feels like an 80's Frank miller sin city stories.., when some super killer can kill anyone throwing a finger nail with EXTREME precision to slice someone's throat.. when they turn to sneeze... while monologue its own back story in the process.. no wonder the series is so damn hard to adapt..

Biggest missed opportunity to make DD RONAN originally. I never warmed up to this moniker of ECHOs as a result but I very much like how MARVEL has redefined the character as the harbinger of the PHEONIX FORCE. This nonsensical power-upgrade suits Maya’s character better.

Soon as I saw the title of your video I was afraid this was going to be yet another video of some white guy bitching about a deaf woman of colour taking the spotlight from some deserving white guy. Sooooo pleased to see I was completely wrong I was. Thank you for that by the way. I had no idea how amazing her origin actually was. This was the source material and we got an absolute dumpster fire of a TV series. I can't say I'm surprised, based on the diversity checkbox hiring that Disney/Marvel as done for "creatives" after abandoning merit-based hiring.

Is she not a handicapable, brown, queer, street level taskmaster? Mind blowing and potentially lots of story potential. But also kinda reductive. "Lets let this hero be all the heroes and people of the world and not confuse people with individual character arcs by characters that have a singular archetype." That way she's generic enough to plug in anywhere in the MCU canon machine. Hope she's depicted well.
