You know, that could well be a possible planned alternate model, though I haven't heard that one myself. It would actually help to explain the extensive ease of modding the ship too, as being designed to from the get go be able to have stuff swapped out would make for a nice versatile craft. And well, many features that would be good in an ambulance in star wars would potentially be good for a police ship too. Heck, even its weird transforming orientation could be useful for an ambulance to minimize the side-to-side forces on an injured person if done right.

Not mention, once you get that mass moving at its target velocity, it has more kinetic energy behind itt. More kinetic = more damage once it impacts its target. This is why modern sabot rounds for tanks are made of a dense material like tungsten or depleted uranium. Once other thought: even the MAK projectile is around 600 tons, how big is it?. Again, if its core is made of a dense element like tungsten or depleted uranium surrounded by a steel jacket (so the magnetic fields of the MAK cannon have something to grab), it does not have to be large in size. The biggest issue with the weight of the rounds is needing to move that much mass plus the mass of the ship itself to where it needs to be.

@@zyoninkiro Tungsten looks to be 19,280 kg/m^3 (uranium is just below 19000, and may be sometimes preferred in depleted form when available due to its self-sharpening nature). Copper (which may be better than iron or steel for the "EM grabbing" element) is 8930. A ton is ~900 kg. So if we just round an overall density to 18000 kg to account for lighter elements present and then use that with that (to be lazy as long as possible before I need to get out a calculator), 1 cubic meter's worth of MAC projectile is 20 tons. So following these assumptions, a MAC round would be about 30 cubic meters of solid volume (and perhaps a bit larger if it has internal gaps for any impact purposes). A quick search for Mac Round Diameter shows that the king of them, the Infinity's, is apparently 27m in diameter, but those of a frigate are of course smaller (strangely only the infinity's is easy to find info on the round dimensions in any way). For the FRIGATE though, If we approximate again by using a cone shape, volume of a cone is pi * r^2 * h/3 (h being length in this case). Lets just be zany and assume it has similar proportions to a rifle bullet. Which to be lazy I will just look at some images of rifle rounds and say "4 times as long as it is wide (which means 8 times the radius)" So now our cone (subbing out the length for r) is pi * r^2 * 8 r/3. So.. pi * 8/3 * r^3 = 30 cubic meters. So some quick math (with me being lazy and not rounding when I type it). pi * r^3 = 11.25 r^3 = 3.58098... r = 1.5299... so the frigate shell, as a cone, would be about 3.0598 meters wide, and 12.239 meters long. However, rifle bullets are not actual cones, so lets just round this down a bit. A parabola is 4/3 the area of a triangle, but that is 2D so the difference is a bit bigger for a 3D shape. Too lazy to figure out that specific. But if we use 4/3, the width is reduced to 2.29 meters, so lets just say that the shape of the shell is such that the actual width is 2 meters, since a 2-meter wide shell seems like a nice even number. The nature of what we are doing doesn't actually mean we need to change the length, but lets just say that human engineers wanted to use even measurements, and so the round shape is such that it is a 12 meter long round, which is 2 meters wide. Or maybe a 2.5 meter round around 9.6 long? Either one SHOULD be within the reasonable size of what it actually could be based on the tonnage and a bunch of approximations. For what that "feels like" to a normal person (especially one living in a non-metric area like America), well... A quick search for schoolbus dimensions indicates that, in the United States at least, school buses are limited to 9.1 m long, and 2.59 m wide (some states it is less, with 2.44 m width limit showing for Illinois, though it can apparently be longer than 9.1). This meshes best with our 2.5 meter wide, 9.6 meter long shell idea from above, so lets just run with that. School buses are about as tall as they are wide, though you may need to ignore the height granted by the wheels. *So yeah. The size of a frigate's 600 ton MAC round can be said to be the size of a school bus within both the error of our assumptions, and the error of the actual sizes of school buses.* *This, naturally, gives an entirely new meaning to schooling the covenant.*

@@zyoninkiro Incidentally, since we DID in the last comment learn that the Infinity uses 27m wide rounds... or rather, has a 27 meter BORE then lets just say that the round itself is 25 meters to give a meter of safety on each side so that the rounds aren't abrasing the barrel components (and to give room for whatever gives the Infinity's macs that nice plasma shell that follows the round and gives it that weird beam-weapon-appearance). And lets also again assume a rifle-like shape for the round, so... yow, that is a 100 meter long round. Also, during my search just now I found something that in fact lists a round length of 9.1 meters for standard frigates, so the calculations I did above were fairly close, and thus the round for a frigate likely is of similar width to what I noted. Just something neat. Anyway, a 100m round... yeesh. The ship itself is 5700 meters long so it can definitely FIT them inside. But maybe they use a shorter round on the infinity for convenience. So we'll just use 100 meters in length for a cone, and assume its a parabolic shape instead that just has the same volume as a 100m long, 25 wide cone. So... Going "forwards" with cone volume is easier. r is 25/2, h is 100, pi is still a pie, and we get 16362 cubic meters as a volume for the Infinity's MAC cannon in particular. Using the 20 tons per cubic meter we had before, the weight of one of the Infinity's main guns' rounds comes to 327249ish TONS. Since sig figs are a thing (and we have rounded a lot anyway), we can round that to 330,000 tons. Give or take ten thousand (probably give since we are underballing it with the whole cone shape thing). So yeah, if you want it easy to remember, then one of the Infinity's rounds could well weigh in at 350,000 Tons. Being similarly roundy with metric conversions, this puts us in the 320ish *GIGA-Gram* range (i.e each one is a million kg). If we were to assume the infinity fired that thing at the usual 30km/s velocity stated for mac cannons (some sources say the Infinity can fire its rounds notably FASTER than typical MACs, but lets just say they are limiting it to 30000 m/s in this case), then apply the kinetic energy EQ of 1/2 * mass * v^2, the kinetic energy of one of the Infinity's rounds comes to about 1.44 * 10^17 joules. The 50 megaton Tsar Bomba, the overly large nuke Russia tested, is 243 petajoules according to wikipedia. Peta is the 10^15 prefix, so a tsar bomba is about 2.43 * 10^17 joules. So each shell of the Infinity, if fired at NORMAL MAC cannon velocities, is basically 60% of the largest nuclear weapon we have made in real life. It fires them in pairs, so 120% total... *So if the Infinity fires two rounds at once at the "standard" MAC gun velocity of 30 km/s (instead of whatever its actual full power projectile velocity is), the kinetic energy of the two shells combined are similar to what a 60 megaton warhead would put out.* Assuming I didn't mess up math somewhere anyway (in a manner other than my rounding which at least should not be off by a magnitude).

One last note, there is something somewhere someone calculated that the FULL POWER of the infinity's MAC cannon may be 2.18*10^20 J in energy. If we assume that accurate, AND that the mass of the infinity shell of 320ish gigagrams we came up earlier to be be accurate, then the maximum firing velocity of the cannon is about 1167ish kilometers per second (which is ~0.39% of the speed of light, so probably low enough that we don't need to worry about relativity mucking things up just YET). In the location I found that energy value though, it did say that the resulting damage from shooting a planet with it would leave a crater over 100km wide, destroy most of the continent it hit, and for a planet like earth, may even temporarily expose the mantle. *One More Edit: this would mean that the UNSC Infinity's series 8 super-MAC is of comparable power to the superlaser of the Eclipse Star Destroyer, (or at least 10+% as strong as it). As the Eclipse's laser is said to be strong enough to be able to crack open the crust of a planet.* **So there you have it. For those who read all of that? You now have an... ARGUMENT at least, for the UNSC Infinity being a vessel of reasonably similar output (either overall, or per unit volume) to the Eclipse class Super Star Destroyer. I mean, this is a STAR WARS video so we had to bring it back here in the end, right?*

This is by far the biggest thing that pissed me off about the sequels. With current tech and disney infinite money we could have had the most epic space battles ever put on screen but all we got was a steaming bucket of shit, with a blurry copy paste mess in the background. There then is the lightskipping...... Hey lets take absolutely everything that has ever been said, shown or implied about how hyperdrives and hyperspace works across all of both legends and disney canon, and just toss it in the dumpster, take a big fat stinking shit on it and set it on fire. Hyperdrives are now a random teleportation device for the sake of a chase scene that had absolutely zero relevance to the plot.

@@swordsman1137 Yeah, looking at Wookieepedia, that is how they have explained it. So Jango took the last remaining Firespray-31 prototype, and at a later date, production models of Firespray-31 were built, one of which is the Andrasta.
