Eckhart Tolle is widely recognized as one of the most original and inspiring spiritual teachers of our time. He travels and teaches throughout the world.
Eckhart is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition, but excludes none. His profound yet simple and practical teachings have helped thousands of people find inner peace, healing and greater fulfillment in their lives. At the core of his teachings lies the transformation of individual and collective human consciousness - a global spiritual awakening.
Eckhart Tolle is the author of The Power of Now, a #1 New York Times Bestseller, which has been translated into 32 languages and become one of the most influential spiritual books of our time.
In his most recent book, A New Earth, he shows how transcending our ego-based state of consciousness is not only essential to personal happiness, but also the key to ending conflict and suffering throughout the world.

Reminds me of an artist who created music out of daily sounds and noises or another artist who recorded himself cooking and all you hear is the sound of an egg breaking, the knife cutting the onion, etc. It is all very soothing and relaxing.

Working on living in the now for just a few months now and I like it a lot. These moments of stillness and peace really make me happy, including the perception of inanimate objects now and then. Though, as I'm aware it takes time and 'practice' to live in the now consistently, experiencing inanimate objects consistently seems to be the toughest. I always tend to think first before I can consciously focus on the beauty of the objects around me, as opposed to living things including myself.

its the practices of being in the now in our mundaneness we can be ever present. I hear you dear Sir thanks cheers

Lo Pak Peng I read your statement and thought that perhaps it may be beneficial to use a different word than 'mundaneness'... perhaps 'amused by whatever is present'? or something like that. I say this with respect to your comment Lo. Mundane just sounds so utterly boring. I'm hoping that living in 'the now' might somehow be more... 'appealing'. I could be wrong! Thoughts anyone? Regards.

So, we should relate to the world around us, in which we are in, in a sensory way. Our eyes see only certain wavelengths, our sense perception can "relate" to but a billionth of a billionth (just a number I picked out of a "hat"), but it is huge, so huge we cannot conceive of it. Are we not objects? How then are we different from animals? They can only relate to the world in a sensory way. Our conceptualization of the world has not brought us very far, with this I agree. But the "experience"..
