What I liked most about this story was that it didn’t take the typical route of "she followed her dreams, but realised family and community matters most" she obviously learned that, but that didn’t mean she gave up on her journey and went home again. She made her decision and stood by it, which i really like :)

the concept of the film (mc's airship being the moon and her home planet being the sun) clicked into place perfectly for me as i watched the last shot of the eclipse.... thanks for such a wonderful short film!

There's so many reasons this film is beautiful. The voice actress does a lovely job with her calming voice. The character designs are beautiful and unique. The music choice is peak. The moral of the story being to follow your dreams despite what traditions may hold, but to still appreciate and remember those traditions. Oooo I just love it so much. True art. The internet is good and this proves it. Thank you to everyone who worked on this. I'm glad you all exist.

I just love EVERYTHING about this film! The colours, the character design, the music, the writing, the acting, EVERYTHING! Great job!

Superb work here!! WOW!!! Love how there's a brief pause after that line "and yet" @ 2:29, and then the bass line hits at 2:38. Thats genius level storytelling right there. Top to bottom. Everything from visuals, to dialogue, SFX and music all just firing on all cylinders at the same time is just beautifully enriching. It makes whats happening on screen, that much more important. And, if I'm remembering correctly, up until this point we don't hear that element in the music at all -> so again, big emphasis on this "aha" lightbulb moment. Love this story. And the ending !!!! Geezlaweeez, put me in my bag. Thats how I feel now with moving to LA and leaving my family behind in NY/Haiti; I sometimes wrestle with the idea of "missing out" or losing valuable time with family vs trying something new. But this ending just also summed up the beauty of coming back from long stents away from home makes the reunion all the more better.

Beautiful reflection on the short... you echoed my feelings. This is a truly beautiful film and I've watched it three times in a row. Everything about it is perfect - the voice of the actress, the way she is quiet and lets the animation speak for itself after the "and yet.." Honestly gorgeous film. And I love to see how it resonates with your story. Thats what movies are about

I’m so glad you resonated with the film! Although, I can’t take credit for the music and sound design, my composer Salil and sound designer Amanda did an amazing job! I’m glad you were able to find symbolism through their work :D

@@minac949 as a composer myself, my ears always perc up for the audio side of films. Nonetheless, dingy get it twisted; literally the animation and film’s story are like on level 1000! Truly incredible project all together: every aspect of the film supports one another so well 🙏🏾 can’t wait for your next project

I love the use of color in this. How it changes for the different planets, and how it only uses 3 colors for every character. It adds up to just have this nice feeling throughout the whole short, really comfy feeling, amazing work!!

amazing abstract animation with beautiful background and colors! the story is so simple, but lyrical and touching: with realistic depth and insight. It was a little sad and at the same time joyful to watch; dark blue colors contrast well with light blues and complement them. stunning language of shapes and shades! 💛💦

Oh, this is so lovely. It's a great voice-over and a great story, and really pretty animation! I feel like a lot of animated shorts struggle to muster stories that feel unique (which is totally fair--a lot of great animators aren't as into writing), but with this one, I really felt like I was seeing something new.

i really love this, both the art and animation was perfect and completely enhanced the story! I appreciate that she didn't have to be alone forever or give up on her dream, it's a great message to people afraid they'll lose all to try to get what they want. The whole film with the designs, composing and colour is just gorgeous! Another detail I'd like to point out I haven't seen anyone do is, I like how the sun people have their colour palette shift into a similar one to MC's previous one at the end (this could be to show the way they had accepted her way of thinking or maybe even share her ideas now)

Man, it really is students releasing shortfilms season! Oh this is so heartwarming and makes me feel so at home!! Like yes I wanna do things on my own, I wanna find out what I can be!! Who I'm meant to be, etc etc but I can't just do that if I stay in one place.... And yes maybe I'll be homesick for a bit but I really pray that'd it'd be okay if I did venture outside by myself one day 🥹🙏🏻 so yes thanks for making this and excellent execution!!
