This is a roundtrip efficiency test of a large 2kW power station from EcoFlow. If you're considering using batteries charged at night to power your home in the day, these kind of numbers are essential otherwise you might be wasting your time and money.

I'd tried to find some figures online about this but all I could find were some really poor numbers for the original Delta Max from quite a few years ago. I figured that the only way to be sure was to test it myself.
NOTE: This Delta 2 Max has probably been through about 10 cycles. It's very new but has been used enough so the cells should be performing at their best.

@TDCatTech Could you please let me know if you have tested the devices on low-power consumers, for example, around 100 watts? I conducted tests on my device and observed the following: if I connect a load with a power of about 100 W, the device’s screen shows a total consumption of around 150-160 W. It looks like the additional 50-60 W is the consumption of the inverter itself. Furthermore, the higher the load, the lower the inverter’s consumption. For instance, with a load of about 250-300 W, the device displays only an additional 20-30 W on the screen. So, with a small load, the device consumes a lot for its own power. The higher the load, the higher the efficiency and the lower the self-consumption. Have you observed the same behavior? I have a Delta 2 Max.

For you to properly get this test done, charge your Delta 2 max to 100%, get a power consumption meter/watt meter, plug it into the AC of the Delta, then plug your 100w device into the watt meter. Allow the powerstation to drain from 100% to 0% then check the watt meter to see how many kwh you were able to drain. Repeat thesame test for a 250w load. Then compare how much kwh you were able to drain from when you had a 250w load vs a 100w load. This will answer your question properly. I will be very interested in your result if you can do these test

I also noticed that the Delta 2 Max display do not show the correct AC input or output power data. I found differences between 60 up to 134 W !!!

Not related, but I have noticed my delta 2 Max AC output on Uk plugs 50hz is not outputting the correct wattage compared to plugging in the wall to the grid, so you notice this ? Makes my toaster and microwave undercook food…

The problem is, discharging is not always done at 200 watt. What are you gonna connect to your Delta 2 max. A kettle, a hotplate, a fridge that turns on an off? I have smartplugs at the input and output of my Delta 2 (not max). I am using a tarif with hourly changing prices. I charge during the cheapest hour at 500 watts and use the battery during the 3 most expensive hours. Not counting the solar I put into it I get for september 0,75/1.25 = 0,6 If I add the little solar I have 0,75/(1,25+0,6) = 0,75/(1,85) = 0,40 So prices of the expensive hours need to be 1,6 to 2,5 times as expensive compared to the cheapest hours, which frankly I see sometimes but not that often. So most day I don't break even......
