Nice video! Please be careful with "floating". Test it well unless you want it to drown as one of mine. I had a little incident while kayaking few weeks ago and it fell down. I didn't see blinking light due to mud at the bottom. It was bliknking while I was drying it 😅 It was beautiful sunny day. Secundo: I like preventing my radio from unintentional rotating volume switch, so I set the volume, lock keypad and forget 😉 It is a matter of preference. I wish it could scan the coda as MT82E does. BTW: watch for bad quality recharchable batteries. Always check the source.

You mentioned the solar input was 600W is is about 60% of the 1kWh better capacity, I think of that like if you were charging it using a 600W solar supply it would be 60% charged in an hour (600Wh) and 100% in 100 minutes. Thanks again, I'll definitely be ordering one now and your review really helped to make a well informed decision.

In the USA there are 22 FRS channels. They are on the UHF band and are limited to 4W of power output. Channels 8-14 are limited to .5W.

I’m late to the party here, but thank you so much for your review. I’ve been debating getting this speaker, but the majority of reviews focus more on the deep bass it offers (which isn’t a bad thing). However, I don’t listen to a ton of bass heavy music, so it really helped to hear it playing other genres.

Just received mine. Wouldn’t start. Then I plugged it in and it said it was 50% full. But then all of a sudden it was 0%…

Is the 600w limit from the power stream into the battery documented anywhere ?

I already own the F1200 and the F2000 (with BP2000). Ordered the C1000 (with BP1000). I will also use the C1000 for camping because of its low weight. In my home situation I use them for power storage on location when the fixed solar panels on the house roof provide energy (Kitchen, smartTV & PC and my home sound studio). I use the Ankers if the panels do not supply or do not provide sufficient power, to make coffee in the kitchen with the F1200 (which does not have an app) or to use the microwave or air fryer in the evening. Now I want them to only charge (ups function) when the panels supply power (the cheap power hours). To arrange that I would have to use an external timer, but what could be better than Anker integrating that into the software and adjusting the wattages per hour.

It would have been nice to also hear the Sennheiser mic through the Comica wireless set and vice versa. The Sennheiser mic wasn't low passed nearly as much as the Comica one, and sounded much clearer as a result. I'm unsure if it was indeed the mic or the circuitry in the TX and/or the RX units, as low passing is a cheap way of reducing white noise. Boosting the highs to recover clarity will make all that noise a lot more apparent, and reverse any EQ-based noise reduction measures.

Can this connect to a hotel with their single user log in, to save on SIM data?

Just a note for folks passing by - they are back on UK amazon at least the full kit. Not clear if they've changed or resolved the wiring it into the mains question however.

The cable used is 1.5, which means the cable wire is 1.5 the same as most normal extension leads! 2.5 mm are the best heavy-duty cables, using 1.5mm cable dissipates the heat less than a 2.5 cable, you will find the 3 pin plug gets less heated the thicker the cable that is used.

I just received the one with the base and exactly this has happened. It had zero charge and after attaching it to the charger it worked its way up to one percent. Then it powered down and will not come back up. I think I have to return it.

My Prime died at 29 cycles. My 737 is still alive at 140 cycles. The 737 is so scratched up and beat down I can barely read the screen. Yet it is still going strong. I can see why the prime is selling at the same price ($109) as the 737 on Amazon. The 737 is a tank.

That is not a budget radio by any means. It is a ruggedised version of their other radios not rubbish. The 10KM range claim is just an advertising con which should be addressed.
