I can't wait for the River 2 Pro. I bought the River 2 Max. and it ran my full size Beko Fridge/Freezer for over 11 hours.

@@CameronMcNeishOutdoors the Max is only 512Wh... but I have been playing. I connected 2 of my 4amp Ryobi one+ batteries to the XT60 port in the back . Witch gives me an extra 128Wh :) and I do have a 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery that should give me another 1200Wh. but I have not tested it yet hoping for 36hrs But the Pro would still me nice. for the higher out put :)

Cameron a wee tip is if you use a small 300w inverter (I use a bestek 300w pure sinewave, approx £39) and use that to charge whatever power station you have whilst driving it charges quicker that standard 12v. Mines is a Jackery 1000 (older style) and charges at approx rate of 150w whilst doing this. Enjoy the videos

Blinking expensive way (£750!) to get just 760W/h. Just replace your existing lead/acid with lithium (LifePo4) (check chargers can do it first). I upgraded to lithium and got 2200W/h for under a grand. Right enough I had already back fed an inverter to all sockets.

I used my Ecoflow River Pro last week and didn't need to use the van's gas at all. I don't take it on every trip, just depending on where I'm going and what I'm doing, but last week I was 'off grid' parked up on a 48 hour trip to attend an event and the Ecoflow did everything I needed it to do and still had plenty of power left when I got home. It gives lots of extra flexibility. I'll be interested to hear how you got on with yours.

I love it Anne and I suspect it will replace my Bluetti which, although less than a year old, already feels dated. I think the new River 2 Pro is a real game changer. Zero to 100% charge in less than 70mins - just amazing!

@Cameron McNeish Outdoors Of if you charge ANYTHING to fast you will lessen the amount of charge cycles you can get.i charge mine every second or third charge from the 12v cig socket just so that the batteries don't get to hot.

@@CameronMcNeishOutdoors only problem with rapid charging will significantly shorten the life of the battery. So think it’s a bit of a sales gimmick to be fair.

You may want to look at Gadget John’ channel. He installed an Ecoflow setup in his campervan but has had to rip it out due to major safety concerns.

That’s the beauty of these standalone power stations. You don’t have to wire them up to your leisure battery or anything else.

Have you tried to power the van with the Bluetti?.

Was looking at this and the Bluetti EB70, which is currently £649 and a fair bit cheaper at the moment. Really don’t like the huge stick out handle on the back, what on earth were they thinking! Read quite a lot about ecoflow poor customer support too, which also has me a bit worried. I do prefer the ecoflow display tho. Decisions…

Hi Cameron, how's you? I'm about to drop some money on a power bank to use as an off-grid ebike charger, nothing more really. I got the idea from you Bluetti vid and then moved with you on this one the Eco River so my question is how are you finding it, getting on okay? My bike batt is the same as yours and wonder how many times I can charge it (fully) on the stored energy capacity? I read some comments and wish that I didn't see that one where ecoflow overheated for whatever reason but mainly for the lack customer support/comms from the Ecoflow bunch. I'm easy going, should I get this one and just be happy getting out again the next day/two ? TIA

I stopped using the Ecoflow simply because of that stick-out handle. Because of it the unit wouldn't fit into the space in my campervan. I've continued using the Bluetti and I'm currently testing a cheaper power bank, an AllPowers R600 which has an LFP 299Wh battery. Not sure if it's much better than the Bluetti but a bit cheaper. Both batteries will power up my Trek e-bike battery, but just the once. Also testing an AllPowers solar panel but to be honest unless you get direct sunlight it's not much help, and direct sunlight is pretty much in short supply at the moment.

did the ecoflow manage to charge up your battery (capacity?) more than once? Mine is 600wH@@CameronMcNeishOutdoors
@CameronMcNeishOutdoors
@CameronMcNeishOutdoors 8 ай бұрын
@@ftlikemike Not really, managed about a charge and a bit. Better than the Bluetti mind you. Probably need a bigger capacity to get two full charges but then you’re taking about a bigger and more expensive power station.

I’ll do that Stu. Suspect you’re right. The compact power banks have a very good international reputation and so far I’ve been delighted with this one. But keep watching - I’ll report on it from time to time on how it’s performing,
