We've talked a lot of tips and recommendations in regards to XDefiant since launch: Factions, weapons to rank up, tips and things you should know, but one thing that we've yet to talk about is the actual weapon builds I've been running that I'd like to share with you. Today we're running down my Top 5 classes for you to use in XDefiant before Season 1. Now, by no means is this a definitive list, it's just what I've been using and having a blast with so feel free to let me know if you'd add or subtract anything and feel free to share your builds as well. Xdefiant has grown on me, it’s so much funner than cod. The gameplay loop is so addicting i tried playing mw3 again when s4 dropped and got bored after one game and went back to Xdefiant. Ubisoft knocked it out the park

Everyone is sleeping on the MDR if you put a heavy barrel on it and vertical recoil attachments it becomes a beam with the fastest TTK at close range of any AR

M249 has been working great for me on control and escort ! I just tried it out of curiosity and it surprised me at how much of a power house it is with the extra ammo you can pre fire the lanes no problem . Its been getting me player of the game consistent and kills anywhere from 40 right up to my pb at 78 ! . Best thing is its great with the 1st set of attachments so you dont have to level it much ! Tried a few other builds like strafe with rapid fire and 60 round mag which is disgusting! .

@@Jack_Mehoff I find only the smgs struggle with multikills in their recommended range. Every other gun I find you can get 3+ before reloading if your halfway accurate. That being said, the lmgs can squad wipe multiple times before a reload

@@whiteboysfavegoatif you’re accurate getting 3 kills in a single mag with the mp7 is fairly easy. Problem is that most people aren’t accurate and blame stuff like people hopping rather than trying to get better.

All these AR builds are bad, only work for hotshot gametype/ mode. No mobility because you are lifted mobility with coins dropped. Awful video lol

I just got my pump action shotty up to lvl 22. I put the barrel that has +20% short and medium range, and the choke that does the same ranges but +10% yo both. It's a world of difference. I had such a hard time with that gun before lol

@@kjedington i feel like shotguns as a whole need a buff personally. Might be a skill issue but thres no reason the AA-12 needs 5 shots to kill at point blank, and the other 2 shotguns have AWFUL consistency imo.

@@NeroV1L3 and ya know that sucks. i dont want every shotgun to be a 1 hit sniper like the lockwood 680 in MW3 or whatever but i do want the shotguns to feel good and perform well. Obviously it's not as easy as "just make it god" but it's only presason and the devs have been very open with us so im hoping for the best. Loving the game as is right now.

It’s always better to level up the “bad” weapons on double xp weekends, M16 is actually good and fun to use so you won’t get bored or frustrated using it even with less progression

Vector my fav so far, lvl 57 on it. got muzzle booster+rof barrel(the last one idk), pistol grip(tac grip also works), ext mag. rips through mfers so fast i renamed my loadout from "mosquito" to "chainsaw" . try to get used to iron sights for more available attachments, i couldnt.

Also the M16 is the best paired with cleaners for more damage guys i seen for testing says m16 nd marksman riles are perfect for fire rounds

Use the cleaner faction when using the m16. Takes it from a 5 shot kill down to a 4. Much more consistent.

My favorite potential build for the MP5A2 is focused on both accuracy and mobility. It will have the following attachments: lightweight barrel, leather-wrapped foregrip, quick mag, lightweight grip, and padded stock. What are your thoughts on this build, which I’m still progressing towards? Any suggestions for other adjustments or other variations?

Not worth it. It’s an smg. You already have an innate mobility buff. The mp5 has low recoil as it is so accuracy attachments are also mute. Try the rate of fire muzzle, chromed line, pistol grip, the green grip, and no stock/folding stock (forgot which one the mp5 has. Much more consistent out to range while being mobile af with a quicker ttk.

I've got a suggestion for something big. I'm running the M249 with the Recon barrel, tactical rail, reflex, Leather wrapped grip and Lightweight stock. Playing the Hotshot mode, this setup is a strafe monster.

first gun to 42 was the vector. the only thing i can say is no matter what, if you grind this weapon your movement will get better. learned the hard way when the damage drop off is at like 13 meters

If you're good with headshots, try out the svd with the heavy barrel. I just need to get better with my aim, but it fells great when you hit.

The 93r pistol isnt great at first but by the time you get the stock at level 17 that plus the extended barrel make it a 2 burst been enjoying it alot all of the pistol take alot less xp to level up too so I would definitely try to get some attachments for it while double xp is still going

Just got my 93r gold during double xp weekend. Not as good as the deagle. But plenty of fun! Had a few 60+ games using strictly the 93r. Been using the rate of fire muzzle, red dot sight, extended mag, quick draw grip and lightweight stock. Super slept on 💯

I love the Ak 47 man. Hits like a goddamn truck. As an SMG I would say the P90 is my fav go to. If I like to quick scope snipe, I run with the M44.

I played around a lot with the M16, one of my favorite guns of all time an I honestly have to say, the holo sight feels so much better than the reflex. I dont know why because i usually hate holo sights. I feel like the recoil centers better even though theres nothing logical to support it.

I’d go with the mag. It already has 50 in the mag and the base reload isn’t worth saving a second on especially since you can reload cancel animations. Makes the fast mag a useless attachment when you eventually become a high skill player.

Visual bug with that one skin - it's removed if taken off or replaced with any other. Coincidentally, I was actually laughing about how weird that was while editing this video

The more i played the game the more i start to realise having mag attachement is not always needed (ofc sometimes is clutch) but most of the time especially on rifles u have enough time to reload after a fight especially if u are hurt and u gotta reset that extra reload speed wont get any value .

@pubplays368 it's not the same at all. The 74 fires 5.45x39mm and is stable in firing in comparison to a full frame AK firing 7.62x39 with no stock. The velocity of the 5.45x39 ammo is significantly higher, as a sub should be.

Great thing about xdefiant is that there is no actual meta built, meaning almost all the weapons are good. Not the automatic shotgun, that shit is horrible 🤢

Acr that has maxed fire power accuracy and mobility I use Chrime barrel The laser for the rail Red dot Leather wrapped grip Lightweight stock Strafe accuracy nd firepower is just nasty

Interesting build. I use the laser as well. Took it in the firing range and come to find out the laser actually helps the aim assist because the spread even when aimed in is tighter

After maxing out the MP5, and moving on to the P90, I have realized that the P90 is nearly the exact same as the MP5, it just has a faster fire rate.

Don’t sleep on M4! If you’re having a hard time with recoil and aim assist use M4A1 that gun basically has Aim lock. Even the preset one is good enough to start.

Heavy Barrel over the Chrome Lined on the M16, easily. Literally better damage = faster gunfight wins across the board.

Anyone else get to 25 and not play a full game since? I played 5 reg lobby games all started less than 6v6 or had 2-3 players drop every game. 3-6 escort wasted like 2hr of 4xp

Rapid fire on the ak instead of the red dot needs consideration for your class IMO. The rate of fire is noticeable and the iron sights are the best of any FPS games and they are already generally really good. Confused about the red dot

Ttk is roughly the same. The rapid fire attachments in this game are a bit of placebo on most guns. Reflex sights have two hidden buffs. 1st being your shots are more linear. The spread of the trail is tighter. Second being better bullet magnetism due to the condensed cone. XDefiant is one of the few games where sights matter. Kind of light destiny or apex.

Biggest and most effective tip is... Get a controller. Your aim & tracking will be far more consistent than someone who has to aim train for 100s - 1000s of hours on MnK.

Haven’t had any issues. Just keep practicing or start using aim trainers. XDefiant has forgiving bullet cones.

I’m someone who hasnt enjoyed cod for years or played any of the recent ones, but xdefiant has been really refreshing. I’d say give it some time, once you have the right sensitivity settings and levelled your guns, you’ll have a blast.

@@Matthew-ib5qq I did. It was fun. But, I'm past lvl 25 now. And since I'm still hot garbage, I just get farmed. It's just painful. My kd ratio is 0.5 for f.sake. Dudes in my lobbies be over 6. Like what am I supposed to do against that?
