I just bought a 98 e350 with 36k miles and I have a question about the bed as we cant build here in Maine cause its to cold. What is laying down sideway like that like? My wife is 5'8 and Im 6'0 foot can you fit comfortably like that?

@@cjw.6310 I am 5'11" and I fit well. If I lay on my back stretched out, the top of my head and bottom of feet just touch the walls. I don't normally sleep stretched out all the way though.

@@Techelp1001 Cool thanks for the quick reply, I like how simple you kept this. We are going to pretty much do the same exact thing even though we have never built anything and it will be for weekends only for the most part. Keep up the great content and I appreciate the inspiration and ideas for my own build when it gets over 50F.

i bought a memory foam mattress from amazon for my house a couple years ago and when I first received it in the box I was thinking .... "that was probably wasted money" because it was compressed so small. lol I couldn't believe how much it expanded after the plastic was taken off and it turned out to be super comfortable (but I did add a topper to it)

We are happy with the size of the sink. We mostly only use it for washing hands, brushing teeth, and dispensing water so it is a good size for that. if you planned to wash pans in it you would need a little larger sink.

I recently bought a ford e-350 I’m going to build out, and one thing I’ve been mulling over in my head is if I’m going to insulate it or not. My van is all windows, on both sides, and I feel like the windows would cancel out any effect that installing insulation would have. I see that your van doesn’t have windows on the sides, so we have different situations for sure, but I’m still wondering if you have any thoughts or advice about it perhaps? Cheers, and nice build!
@Techelp1001
@Techelp1001 3 жыл бұрын
You can read online on insulation and how to install it and it is very controversial. After reading everything I could, we settled on this basic insulation in the van. I feel like it cuts down on some road noise and makes it heat up a little bit slower in the sunlight, so overall I think it was worth it but I wouldn't spend tons of money insulating a van because in the end as soon as you open up the doors it's the same temperature as outside.
