You are welcome, haven’t heard anything about what markets the T8 will be in. I know China has the largest range of models and some users got the T8 Pro a few months. If you search Alibaba.com you may be able to find the T8 and T8 Pro with the self emptying bin and vibrating mopping module.

I'm in the UK too. There's an Ecovacs fan club group on Facebook (search for "Ecovacs Fan club" on Facebook). You have to be approved to join but if you don't want to then on 20th July someone in the group asked about US availability for self-empty bin and vibro-mop and an Ecovacs official account replied 1 week ago - "Hi, it will go to global market soon, stay tuned". My hope is that the sometime-in-August date that Nathan heard for the USA might be the global date including UK/Europe or, if not, then we (in the UK) won't be too far behind. I don't think it's worth me posting a link to the Facebook post because it won't work to a private group but if you do join that group then just search the group for "stay tuned" which I think only returned 2 hits one being the official Ecovacs reply mentioned above (but I copied the whole reply above anyway). Hope that helps.

@@julianfp1952 Good evening Julian! Thanks for the info, really appreciated! I've asked to join the fan club. I've noticed today, that it's now for sale on Amazon UK, with OZMO Pro mop for £791.01. Unfortunately, it's not from Ecovacs. I think I'll wait until Ecovacs give it full UK support before taking the plunge. Plus, I would want the Auto-Empty station.

Antony Jenkins Hi Antony. Thanks for Amazon UK info but I agree with you, I also prefer to wait for official Ecovacs U.K. availability. My other requirement is that I want to see replacement dust bags listed somewhere as an accessory available for purchase - not much point in having an auto-empty dock if, once the two (or whatever) dust bags that come with the unit are used I/we can’t get replacements.

These videos are not only very informative but actually make me chuckle. I've taken the plunge on the T8+ that includes the auto empty bin for $699 at best buy. Half the price of a Roomba s9+/M6 combo. Many places say the T8 with 3d sensors is better than the T8 aivi for obstacle avoidance so with a cheaper price and no need for video monitoring, I think it's a no brainier!

Since it's on sale on PrimaDay, I was wondering can does T8 self empty everytime it finishes or when it's full? Can you stop from doing it when you schedule cleaning? Since toys are cleaned for night at our place, I' like T8 to clean on silent mode at night, but not empty itself. I would schedule empty to when no one is at home.
@RobotMasters

If you are on a schedule mode you can temporary pause the robot prevent the robot from going out by enable silent mode. Or it might be called do not disturb mode if I recall. The T8 only self empty when the cleaning job done or of the user manually tells to empty in the app. There no bin full sensor.

@@SmartRobotReviews 🥰🥰🥰, thanks Natalie!!! Yeah there a few plastic container self emptying bin like the Shark IQ, older Deebot models the R98 and D77. The only downside is these systems require air filters. The Shark IQ, there 3 disposable air filters that require replacement every 6 - 12 months depending on use. Most of these self emptying bins work well extracting the dirt minus the one you mentioned. Roomba i7+ and s9+ take it a step further by adding the dirt detection sensor and dust bin full sensor to allow the robot to empty itself mid way through the cleaning job. Makes it possible fir the robot to handle crazy amounts of dirt like my 25 lbs rice challenge 😇. Anyways thanks for the support!!!

Hey man, any idea why there is T8 in white and T8 AIVI in black? is there a difference between both?
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 3 жыл бұрын
There no difference in the models if it says T8 White or Black. Now there a T8 Pro which means either the self emptying bin or the vibrating mopping module included in the box, but everything else is the same. Lastly Ecovacs released a T8+ which means this model doesn't have the front facing camera but a more robust true depth sensor for object recognition. I suspect both models would navigate the same.

@Ahmed-gh1qk 3 жыл бұрын
Robot Masters Thank you so much for your reply, it would be great if you could make a video comparing the T8+ to the T8 AIVI and figure out what is actually more useful, the AIVI camera system or the True3D Detection system.
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 3 жыл бұрын
If I can get my hands on the T8+ I will evaluate the true depth sensor and see if the navigation any difference than the regular version.

Is it possible to just empty the bag and simply reuse the bag? As they are kinda pricey to replace
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 3 жыл бұрын
You can, from my experience the Bag degrades overtime and may release some dust into the air.

@ravindrasankarlall4555 3 жыл бұрын
@@RobotMasters But it would technically still be usable for multiple empties right?, and if you don't use the bag, will the self-empty station function like a regular dust bin and we can just lift the entire station and empty the dust from it into a trash bin? (Sorry i'm just looking for ways to get out of having to buy their specific bags for this thing as otherwise this vacuum seems so perfect, I appreciate the response tho)
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 3 жыл бұрын
@@ravindrasankarlall4555 No unfortunately there a sensor that detects if the bags in, also the bag aids in the vacuuming process. Lastly the dust and debris may get past the filter which the dirt could permanently damage the motor.

The roomba does a short back and forth pattern when detecting dirt. It would be nice to set the speed of the robot.

So apparently there is no sensor in the waste bin area of the actual robot... so my question is what happens if the house is really dirty and the waste bin in the t8 gets full? Does the robot keep trying to clean with the bin full and damage itself?
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 3 жыл бұрын
The robot will continue to clean, eventually the debris may end up end the extractor bar area and shut the robot down. There sensors that prevent the robot from damaging the motors.

@@deadly1246 Feature wise yes, has the smart mapping, Lidar Navigation and if this the AIVI version front facing camera. The i3 has a good self emptying system, tried and true cleaning system found on the Roomba i7. It really depends on the features you are looking for.

Tease, tease, tease with the high end, non-roomba vacuum with a clean base, but it's always only available through back door channels. When and if it ever does come to the US, it will be as expensive as Roomba S9. I wonder if they'll be able to sell it at that price. Roomba is a well-known name in the US, but Ecovacs is not.
@RobotMasters

Yeah it available in China Ecovacs, there been a few post that shows the unboxing of the Ecovacs T8 Pro. Ecovacs responded to a few users that the accessories may be available late August. Even their representatives don't know exactly. iRobot still has the best system, the dirt detection system and dustbin full sensor makes the self emptying system useful for dirtier homes.
