Right. You just need the sound effects now. Particularly that satisfying > > SHUNT < < sound when you pull the lever and the trap empties into the Protection Grid.

Set your entry grid, neutronize the field. Light is green, trap is clean.

@puzzlpcmom It does look a little blue in the video... but it's made from a green incandescent "Party Bulb" I gutted and fitted with white LEDs. It's green.

Yeah, no sound for now. The good news is that I think I've spent under a hundred bucks for this ECU, as you see it. I have considered putting some kind of audio device inside it to randomly play ECU and "ghostly" sounds... maybe sounds from the video game.

Awesome best contaminant unit I've seen it looks ect like the movie however it would be better if it had alitte sound effect from the movie but maybe that could come later great job

Absolutely! I'm in italian Ghostbusters franchise and I've been known GBMax personally since 2010 and he's the heart of italian franchise! He has thousands of ideas and very supportive. We're now planning to do a new fan film this time with professional actors and ourselves fans.

Get what out? The Trap cartridge? You just open the door and pull it out. They didn't address this in the film, either... but I imagine they would have had to do the same.

Sorry to be nit picky, but the handle gets pushed down to make the green light come on/dump the ghost in the film. But still, great prop man.

I built a portable wall for conventions... the portable wall also turns into a crate for storage and transport of this prop. I did a full build thread on GBFans.com. :) Search on "containment unit wall crate"... should be first on the list. Check it out... lots of photos and info on the build.

Don't know if this is true but I heared a rumor that Matty is going to be making a containment unit for the ghost trap in the future

Yeah, the wall/crate I use for conventions is a different wall (I keep it in storage until I need it). When the containment unit is at home, it just hangs in my gameroom on that wall. Check out the GBFans build thread... it details how the portable wall was built, painted, and how it works. :)

Amazing job, Cory! You should talk to Crix about getting some sounds done up, it would be easy to sync with your lights.

Oh I see. So is it this wall that you can transport or do you unmounted it from this wall and put it on the portable wall

Yeah, I thought about adding sound, but I didn't want to spend the money. :) This prop serves us well at conventions, and that's plenty.

Is there a wiring diagram available for this? Building one for my franchises' Comic Con appearance this year(Melbourne, Australia) and will take any shortcuts I can get!

I didn't bother making one, as it was all very simple and running off the same voltage... I ensured all the LEDs I used were the same voltage (all DC current), then just wired lights and switches in order to provide the effects I wanted. There's actually no door switch... the red/green light switch is only on the "dump" handle... otherwise, the 3 lighted buttons are only wired to the microswitches in their own assemblies (normally open / normally closed). It was a really basic setup. Have fun making your own! Did you follow the prints I shared on GBFans ages ago? :D I was so happy to have the Containment Unit be my contribution to the GB community. :)

Yeah, their ECU is BEAUTIFUL!!! GBMax is awesome! He was really supportive of my build prior to his team building theirs. :)
