🇪🇨Retirement Visa: A pension of 1275 USD is required to relocate to Ecuador as a Retiree. If you have dependents with you, you need to show further funds. The Retirement Visa is valid for two years, so you also would be required to show that the pension is for this time. Other requirements include police records: A federal and a state one for US Citizens, and the RCP for Canadian Citizens. If you are applying with your spouse, you must bring the marriage certificate.
🇪🇨Professional Visa: you need to show your university diploma, police records, and if applicable, the marriage certificate. You can open your business in Ecuador or do a professional activity with this permit.
🇪🇨 ”Nomad Visa” or Digital Nomad Visa Ecuador: Remote workers that receive a salary (monthly income) from online work for a company. You need to show a letter from your employer stating that you receive a salary of 1275 USD and your bank statements from the last three months. You need to show a clean criminal record and health insurance as well.
🇪🇨Investor Visa: You can invest in a bank account, in real estate, or in a business. If you choose to invest by opening a bank account, a financial institution might even give you a 9.5% interest rate. You don’t need to file taxes for this income that you would receive out of interest.
