I would have liked to hear more from the actual band leader! another case of unusual microphone placement by Cook. there is a similar recording of Johnny Gomez' band "Madinina" where Cook (or other engineer) allows the bongo man to drown out the rest of the band. assuming these were single-mic "live" recordings there was no way to fix it later on.
