EDC Bags That I Use - Vanquest and Maxpedition

I use 4 different bags for edc use.
1. Vanquest husky ppm - www.vanquest.com/ppm-husky-2-...

4. Maxpedition Beefy Organizer - www.maxpedition.com/products/...
items that are universal across all kits are
1. Signal mirror
2. Whistle
3. Mylar space blanket
4. Pens ( i forgot i have mini one in the husky ppm 2.0)
5. Lights and headlamps
6. Solar charger & rechargeable AA batteries usb battery bank combos
7. Fire starters- Lighters, matches, tinder
8. Water containers - Plastic bags and/or collapsible stainless steel cups and with exception to the husky ppm , a water filter.
9. Ductape
10.Cordage- Various lbs, mostly 95lb but some 275 lbs and 325 lbs as well.
11. Multitool Knife- All kits have a multitool knife and with the exception of the husky ppm 2.0, a Full tang knife.
12. Compass- All kits have atleast 1x compass. Sometimes I will put a separate 2nd compass to check magnetic readings.
13. Charging usb cables
14. Medical items ( mini Boo-Boo aka first aid items)
15. Cloth of some kind - 3 bags have handkerchiefs and the husky has a small rolled towel that will expand when wet.
16. Lip Balm / Carmex- Vaseline based gels.
17. Safety Pins
18. Paper clips
Bonus items are - Yaesu vx1rs and a yaesu vx7r, all with appropriate charging cables and batteries.

filmed on a panasonic gh2, iso 500, white balance temperature 3000k, 7.1 aperture at 24fps with a 14-42mm lense. Audio from a sound devices 302 mixer into a 744t with an audio technica pro lav 70 and AT822 xy stereo mic.

These kits are some of the best I've seen. thank you for sharing! With regards to solar charging, I just picked up the Zeus i26w. I'm going to to test it but the manufactures claim about 300ma per hour which is not bad.

wow thanks! im gonna check those out. thanks for sharing the info. ive been using a variety of solar panels throughout the years, goal zero, powerfilm, renogy, ultralast, tuffspark etc etc. thanks for the suggestion. if youre looking for a decent inexpensive solar 5w 200mah charger i suggest maybe the renogy eflex 5 with the battery combo pack. its on sale for about 14 bucks right now.

Thanks Tactical! I enjoyed youre vanquest trident videos! I'm saving to get an ibex 35 pack next year lol. I get caught up in getting gizmoes and gadgets too much.. throw in ham radio stuff and its a money sink haha

ah yes i will update the description. they are very very slow on charging by solar but interestingly enough i can run the vx1rs off just the solar panels on recieve with the volum about half way on the dial.. 20 on the menu. i will get you a link to this comment too. thanks for asking and reminding me. i will be back in a moment

However you can also charge the 2xAA batteries included nimh inside via usb cord also provided in the packaging. THere is NO charge controller so be careful about charging for too long.
