The EDC content that nobody seems to cover is the practical daily situations. Way back when i first started carrying, i really could have used some pointers. Getting in and out of your car, considerations while driving. Encountering a store with a no guns sign. Using a public restroom while carrying. Options for hot weather when you want to wear a t-shirt and shorts. Just all these practical issues.

This. I’m a newer ccw carrier in Southern California. Finding helpful info on the ins and out of daily carry was a struggle to find. I’ve been carrying a M&P shield due to how easy it is to hide but have always wanted to carry my G19 because I feel more confident with it. I’m a small guy 5.6 170 so the 19 felt like it was obvious while carrying it. Just recently started messing with wedges and what not. I like videos like this that are more relaxed and talked about edc stuff. Sorry for the rambling haha

@aharris87
@aharris87 11 ай бұрын
One essential of EDC is the look. Look organized and squared away. Be fit physically and mentally fit to fill the role. Pointing a gun at someone makes your body dump adrenaline like nothing you have experienced. Being mentally and physically ready helps you deal with sympathetic nervous system response. Looking "squared away" probably helped me more than I know when I took calls. New EDC essential term coined today "The Look".

Solid video as always amigo. Talking about big dickens, his lawyer (apparently is also a quite based 2A enthusiast) broke down the actual series of events which is a pretty good drill as well. Eli fired 4 braced shots from 40, ran 20 yards and fired 4 more from standing (now 20 yards away), then ran to 7 yards and fired two final shots to finish him off. The original 10 shots from 40 is a good drill but the actual “dickens course of fire” is a solid one as well, not only did Eli drop a shitbag with ice running through his veins but he gave us 2 sweet drills while he was at it, thanks Eli very based

As a Canadian and not allowed to carry a self defense firearm, I've something to say. Due to the fact our government will not allow us to protect ourselves (especially when you live in a small isolated town as I do which criminals tend to target) there's a rise in criminal activity, weather its stealing vehicles, B and E, all the way to kidnapping. Our average time for a police officer to get here is well over 45 minutes, if not longer, and that's if they're even awake when the call is made. I am more than jealous of your freedom to carry and protect your property, yourselves, and your families when threatened in a life or death situation.

In germany we are only allowed to carry blank pistols, but these guns can also shoot cs gas or pepper gas 9mm rounds. So if you shoot there is a loud bang like a real 9mm and a cs or pepper cloud is getting shot out the front of the barrel into the attackers face. That mostly gets the Job done. Do you really have noting to defend yourself legaly in canada ?!
@legroston3
@legroston3 11 ай бұрын
Yup! In Canada, it is illegal to carry any items for self-defense. You do have the right to use reasonable force to protect yourself or your property, but ONLY if you can prove that you had no other choice. Which could potentially be tricky to do.

What you said about feeling naked without your sidearm and feeling more at ease is 100% accurate. When I travel to Europe, to be in good legal standing in most countries in the EU I cannot even have a knife on me, let alone my sidearm. When I spend 3 months over there with my family my alert sense is definitely heightened and I don't feel generally as safe due to relatively high petty crime rates.

Not only do they share magazine capacity, but the barrel length and sight radius is near enough to identical to need a micrometer. It felt like Glock looked at the G19, thought back to the early 90s and thought, "I know we can do this better", and BAM... G48. It isn't killing the 19 for the same reason the 1911 isn't dead yet. I sadly don’t live in the us but luckily moved from Belgium to Bulgaria so now I every day carry a knife and I don’t leave the house without, I guess what you said about guns is also kinda true for knives, it didn’t feel uncomfortable the first time carrying but it felt weird Every time I forget it now I do feel less secure and for me my knife isn’t only for self defence but I use it very often for other stuff as well But even tho it gives an extra sense of security I still understand that a knife doesn’t get the upper hand in a situation with a gun and sadly I can’t own a gun let alone every day carry one I could technically buy a gun next year if I’m 18 and get paperwork, mental check and then approved but I live in Europe where most people hate guns and I’m the only one in my family who doesn’t hate guns That also makes it very hard to get into long range shooting for me and I would love to be able to shoot sub moa targets at 1000+ yards

Just picked up a Walther PDP with a Holosun 507C, fantastic weapon. Only complaint I really have is the trigger is a bit ass out of the box but I've only put ~200 rounds through it so far, I imagine it'll get better like Glocks do over time.

Okay this surprises me. I thought the trigger was one of the best things about the PDP? I owned a PPQ for a long time, and the trigger was better than the gun that replaced it lol.

The main reason the 43x isn’t a 19 killer is cuz you can’t put a light on the 43x. Other than that I do love the 43x but also like you said, I do kinda like the feel of my 19 better as far as shooting

@@ultimatetrex1999 yeah but it’s not a regular rail and a big bright light won’t fit on it. My brother asked me one time why do you even need a g19 if you buy the shield s15 mags for 43x and I said cuz I can’t run a good light on a 43 and I have a lot of mags from 15rd-33rd Glock mags that all fit in a 19 you can’t get that with a 43x.. my 19 sits by my bed, my 43, is always in my waste. But if shit ever hits the fan I would have 19 cuz all those mags and lights that fit it

This is pretty much it, look cool. I have a gun safe full of guns and don't carry because well it's just to look cool. If you ever needed a gun your probably dead. If you have a gun, it's just a send me to jail card. If I ever did shoot someone on self defense I'll need a magic to prove it, as I've lost in court before in self defense fights because dudes friends lied. Even if I do shoot and all goes well losing my hearing is rough. Tbh getting shot with 9mm in the arm or leg vs losing your hearing permanently.... I rather get shot, you can heal that, you can't heal hearing loss

The gun belt is something I took a bit too long to get onboard with. For years, I just used a basic, cheap belt like you can get from Walmart. Earlier this year, I finally dropped some money on a proper gun belt, a leather El Pistolero from Magpul, and it's a huge difference in support for the firearm and my overall comfort. I now feel I've been doing concealed carry wrong for years until I got a strong belt.

On your first Dickens drill you pulled your left. You need to do some one-handed drills visualizing a string tied from your trigger finger to the front sight pulling that front sight straight back into the rear sight. Doing this 60 times a week will work Wonders on your trigger control. And stop you from pulling to the left. I learned this from a retired member of the army Marksmanship unit.
