As another superb Leo Espinoza-designed knife, the 3 Pointer from TOPS Knives makes for an excellent EDC, fishing, camping and hunting knife.
One of the main goals with this model was options for carry. Each of the three variants (skeletonized, tan canvas handle, black canvas handle) come with beta loop straps and a neck chain. This allows multiple ways for wear. There are also options for personalization.
The knife is large enough to handle a small buck (like a three-point buck, for example) as well as small game, fish and fowl. It’s a great size and design for all sorts of other uses as well.
You’ll find this fixed blade knife replacing your folder for EDC because of how light, functional and easy to carry it is.

Great concept but 1095 for this size of blade is only rust trouble....

I hear about rust trouble with 1095 blades all the time but I have yet to experience anything like it. I stripped the coating off my BK2 8 years ago and I do nothing to condition the blade and there's not a spec of rust on it. My MSK 2.5 is a common EDC in my lineup and also accompanies me on 5 or 6 trips a year. I never oil the blade and there's not a spec of rust on it. I use 1095 in the kitchen almost every day, with some light conditioning, no rust. It makes me think people must be going out of their way to expose their 1095 to water for extended periods of time.

Gotta learn to let that stuff go, 90% of the world uses rusted knives, the vikings sailed the seas with their knives exposed to ocean spray and all, you bet they were pitted, rusted and Patina to sh*t, it's all stuff you can get off The owning UHC from roselli, O1 from BHK and uncoated tops knives rust is never an issue and If it does appear, flitz

@@yorrickziffa Me either til i looked a little closer, but yeah long sleeved. Glad i could help out. Look out for the short sleeved version before long with the temperatures climbing in the months ahead. Sometimes he even wears a tank top on really hot days! 🦾 🙀 🤓

Love this knife blade but didn't like the handle at all. I actually returned the knife because of it. My small hands slipped off the back. If there was a little more area on the pinky finger end or about 3/4 inch longer it would have been a winner. But it did not fit as well as my other 8 TOPS knives. Sorry...just being honest.

Ive got great big meat hammer hands and i actually find it comfortable, but I dont expect it to fill my hand. This is the quick pull one and my kizer beigleter does the heavy shit

Add a small lanyard to give your pinky something to hold on to. Also helps when drawing the knife from its sheath.
