Michael was perfect as Eddie, one of the best movies ever made
@tylerstevens46972 жыл бұрын
Not only was his lip syncing borderline perfection it was an astonishing voice match. Voice matched Eddie’s slow draw speech and mannerisms and attitude. Movie was criminally underrated and undervalued.

Mike did the best lip sync job, the most consistent lip sync work, the most spot-on NAILING of Cafferty's vocals that you could ever have asked for.
@DeathbySkullfxxx3 жыл бұрын
Imo, its not just his lip syncing... which complimenting his lip syncing doesnt seem like a big deal, but even singer lip syncing their own work often does look fake... but the fact that Caffertys voice tonally matches Pares vocal tonality. While some singers singing voices manage to sound nothing like their speaking voice, typically there is a carryover that sounds like its that persons singing voice as well. They match pretty close.

Yes... Child & Shore person.. Lync well.. LET'S NOT FORGET..... He was video... We ALL FELL in luv w/ Him! Actor/& or NOT..... This Gentleman has a neat following/ presence in NJ. PLEASE tell me U wrote a book?!🙏😎🎵💚😍
@Knight146492 жыл бұрын
It was more real, because his talking voice is sorta similar to Cafferty’s singing voice..

One of the best two-part movies ever made. I have the DVD with part one and part two and I watch it at least once or twice a month. The soundtrack is incredible, the acting is incredible, and Michael does such an excellent job. It’s an old cliché but it’s worth saying again. They just don’t make movies like that anymore! EDDIE LIVES!!!

The 2 E&C Films plus "Streets Of Fire" are films I make a point of Owning & watching at least twice a year, and they Never Fail To Entertain and Impress me Every Time, Like I've Never Seen Them Before. I "Think" the Sound Tracks of all 3 are so Impressive that they make the films, which are Impressive on their own, even More So. I rate them with "Casablanca", "Key Largo", "To Have And Have Not"(Hell, ALL of Bogey & Bacall's Films Together, And a list of other films that I enjoy, Box Office Hits or not(I like what I like, Screw The Critics and their often Pompous Prognostication,, and that's how that goes for Movies and Songs. I can't often say exactly what Or Why I like something, it's All Subjective, I guess, but Eddie & The Cruisers, Eddie Lives along with Streets of Fire never fail to make me Feel Good about the time I spend enjoying them

Michael Paré seems like he is still a great actor to this day. I've seen him in some other low budget stuff, but I got linked here from the Eddie movie. I hope he tries to get out there more for acting gigs on TV even. He should be able to pick his own show for the amount of character he has. True story.

I'm so glad they asked about the scene that was redone with Sal in the second movie. I like to think that Eddie had the same conversation with Sal and The Word Man at different times in their past. It would have been better if it wasn't basically the same scene. It stuck out like a sore thumb, any true fan couldn't miss it.
@suzannahschulthies12602 жыл бұрын
Yes, I understand why they did it that way, but I couldn't help but be miffed about it at the same time. Kind of like Sebastian Shaw being replaced as Anakin Skywalker at the end of Return of the Jedi; they replaced him with Hayden Christensen standing with the ghostly Yoda and Ben Kenobi. Now THAT was screwed up! For Eddie Lives, though, I do understand.
@thatsmytwocents43722 жыл бұрын
They did it because they didn’t want to have to pay Tom Berenger for appearing in the movie.

I believe Michael is the greatest living actor ever, people they are calling stars today can't lipsync Michael s voice & Johns blended perfect

it came out when i was like 12, i had NO IDEA it wasnt really Michael singing till one day i was watching MTV and the "On The Dark Side" video came on and i was like who the hell is this guy singing!? it was good lip synching but also Ceffertys singing voice and Michaels talking voice just really believably sounds like the same person.

the scene on the beach with eddie and the word man, when he tells him how he wants there music something you can wrap yourself in, or the second movie where he schools rick on how it should sound, some of the best rock and roll advise ever heard, and i believe that axl rose of guns just pulled that off ?

Eddie an. Crusiers. Was as great as a movie could be four stars an that is under statement. It wood be better to make more story's like this is under statement.dreams an music for real let's get. On with music for words an music bring us together. In positive way no hate or violence.

2nd movie was fun and good but the 1st would have been fine without the sequel! The scene at the end of the 1st is Amazing with Eddie looking in the window. I felt that Eddie's story was a combo of Bruce & E St, and Jim Morrison. Epic Movie!! Eddie Lives, the music will last forever. Thank you John Cafferty & Beaver Brown Band!!
@AzRoadRunner787 жыл бұрын
I think the ending of the first movie set up a sequel perfectly. But they blew it with writing such a horrible sequel. The acting was lame, and the storyline was even worse. Considering the time period, they tried to make him almost like Jon Bon Jovi, but it's a far cry from the magic of the original movie.

Eddie & The Cruisets 3👍 We need more movie's with good rock. Story,....Female lead group struggling, she gets scared, runs away. Driving, she stops at an old record shop. Thumbs through some old cassettes, cause that's what her old car has. And finds an old EDDIE cassette, faded and cracked. Now, driving down the road, she listens to tender years...tear running down her cheek, she drives off into sunset, tender years fades out. Flash forward 2 years, she is back of a diner on break, guitar by her side, and a notebook writing music...a dj on a radio in the background is talking about EDDIE and how his music was from the heart, then plays On the dark side. Her boss hollers time to get back to work hun....she pauses.....stands up, drops her apron, and replies....yeah, it is. So begins her visit to find & see eddie, and find her music. Basically, kinda like EDDIE 2. I think with the movie A star Is Born, with Lady Gaga coming. It would be a good time for this movie. Also, why not get Lady Gaga to write the music. Still love E&TC.
